This is an excellent story. Clearly it is one of the older stories on the site, but this story really is a lot of fun. There are lots of options and choices, and with the addition of items, the possible combinations of things happening is really quite large. Since some actions appear based on having or not having items, you can’t really tell all the options without playing a very large number of times – and the story is entertaining enough that that’s what you want to do anyway!

This story is also a lot of fun because the choices you make earlier in the game have effects later in the game. The story really allows you to take all sorts of direction and you really feel like every choice you make will have a strong effect on the story—you really feel like you are directing the story here at all times.

The story is well-written and with the pacing and events that are going on, you really feel rushed to make your choices and choose options that will affect the story right away. There are times when you have to stop and think about the right choice because you know if you make the wrong choice, the story will get worse for those around you. This is a great story and a good example of doing a lot of different things with variables and items on this site as well.

It's an interesting and exciting story, but it seems like the chips can't be added to the jammer. But I get the idea.

This was really good, I was going to give it a 7 but I had to give it a 6 because it ended up being a dream.

It's a good story, I really liked the plot twist, but some of the options were, at least to me, a bit unclear. And also, I am not sure if I did something wrong, but one of the options at the end would not result in anything and I had to go back.

I don't like the "it was only a dream" trope, it's lazy.

I think this had a great plot, proper grammar use and everything spelled correctly. You could use upper-cases on your links, but otherwise it was really good. 6/8

Eh.... so the bomb was the nightmare? Or did I somehow screwed up? Was the signal jammed or the bomb went off anyways?

YAY I BEAT IT!

Yay! no body went boom. Fun story, there were some spelling and grammar mistakes and a couple redundant paragraphs, but otherwise a fun mystery/puzzle to solve.

I liked the idea of an item driven game. With the envelopes, maybe you could have dropped then after they had been opened? I just prefer my inventory not so cluttered.

I'm not sure if the game is designed to be winnable. At this point, I'm okay with a loss.

I enjoyed the thrill if the puzzle and the time detonation made it fun and exhilarating. As my rating says, it's worth every cent.

I watched it happen and it was funny as hell knowing that my apathy and disbelief caused such an event to happen, thanks for this storygame x

The ending was a bit melodramatic.Looks like i got the second highest score

I chose my choices as I would do and after reading this, I feel kinda bad. I decided to just stay away from the situation and as you would call it, "I just watched things happen"

This storygame made me realize something about myself. A flaw, a weakness and because of that, I will strive to change. Thank you for making this great (though not perfect) story.

I used to have a job where reception was one of my duties. I hated it, it was the worst job I ever had. After working there way too long, I quit and resolved that NEVER AGAIN WILL I ANSWER PHONES FOR OTHER PEOPLE! Even at home, when I mistakenly answer a phone call intended for another member of my family, and the person on the other end asks me to take a message, I tell them "NO! I ain't a goddamned professional message taker anymore! Call back and leave a message on the machine." (Most people don't expect that reaction and are insulted by it, but fuck 'em. I neither shine shoes nor take messages for other people anymore. And if you tell me to get my fucking shinebox or my message-taking notepad, I will stab you to death with a fucking pencil and bury you in the woods! But I digress...)
And, for the same reason, I don't even own a cell phone. I used to, but not anymore. And my life is much better without one, thank you.

Anyway, my point is, I played this game like it was real, making the same decisions I would if it was actually happening to me. And I would NEVER wittingly answer a phone call for somebody else. Not after what I've been through. And I know the call is not for me if it's not my own phone that's ringing.
And later on, when the "gloved thug" offered me the iphone, of course I didn't take it! "Who wouldn't take a new iphone?" ME, GODDAMNIT! I have no desire for ANY kind of cell phone. Not in real life, and not in this game.

So, point being, even though the story was creative and well-written, it was kind of unfair to people like me. I realize I'm not the "target demographic," so I won't be playing again.

(And yes, I understand, you could ask "Why would you play a game called 'Answer the Call' if you hate phones so much?" Well, I thought it was a reference to something like "Call of the Wild," or "Call of Nature" or "Call of Duty." I never would have guessed that it meant "Call of Telephone!")

I hate "it was all a dream" endings. They are very cliche and can ruin an otherwise perfect game. Sadly, this is one such case.

Very fun with an interesting twist in the end. It took me a while to understand some points, but finding it all out made me feel great. The action and intrigue was fascinating, and I enjoyed it the whole way. The money was useless right?

I got the "What happened" ending as my first ending.

Seemed a bit buggy. The countdown timer did nothing and at the end I was magically in a library. Wut.

I "Watched It Happen". Nice game! The grammar was a bit out in some parts but it wasn't linear and you clearly put lots of effort into it.

I just watched it happen. Yep, that sounds just like me, ha ha ha. It's been awhile since I came to this site. I'm happy to be back, but even more importantly, I'm happy to have had the pleasure of reading a well made story game. In the new section no doubt. I only hope that one day I can write one of my own. 8 out of 8.

Really good. I loved the intensity, the spelling was great, and I loved the whole idea for the story. This is a great thriller and I hope you do a lot more of these. The only thing that I didn't quite like was that it was confusing at certain points. Maybe a walkthrough would be helpful everytime you died. Other than that, awesome!!
