Player Comments on The Monty Hall Problem
I already knew how this works, but it was still cool. Where are all my goats and cars I just won?
4/8

Meh, I liked it. I mean, it sure as hell wasn't any 8 goals 28 rolls, but it was an actual game that used actual coding, so that makes it better than 99% of the other short games by default. ^_^

Obviously not really a story, but an interesting medium to show a logic puzzle in

Already know the solution but somehow got screwed over 5/6 times when choosing the correct solution. :S

It's not really fun, but it is perfectly functional.

Cool. But I don't think a story game is the best example of the Monty hall problem.

It's pretty cool the difference in the probabilities. Without changing, it was 1/11. Changing caused the probability to skyrocket to 7/11 (not the gas station.) Anyway this is a pretty cool experiment.

As interesting as this is, this doesn't classify as a storygame in my eyes. In fact, it doesn't even count as a "story" to be honest. But thanks for the interesting facts. I feel smarter-er already.

Ah, I remember our statistics teacher trolling us with this problem.
Pretty impressive how you manage to code this into a gamebook, although for those who aren't particularly enamored with mathematical logic puzzles, it might be a bit lacking in entertainment value.
(spoiler)
That being said, the actual chance of winning is not 50/50 whether you switch or not. One choice is significantly better than the other, assuming that all choices are randomly generated. I'll leave it at that.

"SPOILER ALERT" (at least I think its a spoiler)
It doesnt matter if you switch you will still have a 50/50 chance after he shows you one of the doors. Thats what I think, really cool! learned something new thanks!

This is really clever but I think I'd have liked the game better if you let the player play the game a few times first and then explained the maths behind it to see if people can figure it out by themselves.

WARNING THIS IS A SPOILER DO NOT READ IF YOU WILL BE BUTTHURT! I know this problem well. Its basic statistics. 3 doors 2 wrong 1 right. You have a 33% chance of choosing right one. When he knocks off WRONG door you have a 66% chance of having the wrong door and a 33% chance that you have the right one. 66% is greater than your current 33% and you will win more often if you change your answer.

I think it would have been better had it actually set up a new problem each time. The two goats and car were behind the same doors everytime, which kind of ruined it imo.
Still an interesting problem though. Gave it 4/8.

WITCHCRAFT! My brain dislikes this. Fun concept and neat presentation. Pictures may have been worth throwing in (I think I woulda upped my review from 4 to 5), but for what it is... not really needed.

It's a pretty uninteresting concept, and you didn't even explain why it's better to switch. Unfortunately, this problem isn't very suitable for a game.
