I have been at CYS for a quiet a time though I do more on the reading besides commenting stuff rather than writing..but I finally wish to start my own story..I need help on how to put pic inside my game( solved but is it possible for us to put higher resolution pic?)..and does any of you have any advice for me before I start my story?

Obvious first up, is you want an idea, a story that you can tell. Then, you want to get to grips with the framework - as in, how to go from outisde the house, to checking each of the rooms inside, to the big scene in one room, and the links and variables that'll do that for you.

And you'll want to keep yourself interested, and motivated, and have some friends look over it and test it for you. There's a lot of fantastic articles on the Help & Info page, that'll get you started.

Best advice I can give is to cover your basics, make sure you've got a solid grasp of grammar and punctuation and all that, and a good idea for a plot and characters and what you want to do with them, just like you would for a regular story. I'd recommend sitting down and writing out an outline that covers all the most important things that will happen in the different branches. And if this is your first CYOA, I'd recommend starting small. Lots of times people underestimate how much work even a shorter story requires, once those choices go exponential. 

Yeah I hope my grammar will be good enough as English is my 4th language..I will give it a try myself before letting some of this CYS wonderful community try it..I will start it small though & maybe my story will be..more like a story than a game but with different ending for each choices?I try to limit it to 3 epilogue only though THAT will also take time..actually I wanna ask whether CYS uses USA or UK English more?

Don't rush, and check your grammar. Don't publish if there are mistakes. Proofread before you finally do publish. Take your time.

Hi nice to meet you and welcome to CYS. I would say when you are making your first story, take your time, don't rush anything, because if you rush it, it won't be as good if you were to take your time. You will end up making a lot of mistakes and we can tell when someone just rushed their story to have it posted. You will also get a lot of negative feed back, but don't take it to heart. All their trying to do is help you so that when you make your next one , you won't make the same mistakes again and it will turn out a lot better than the last!

Nice meeting you too friend. I will not take it to heart, I will thrive to write a better story till they loved it and I wont rush. I will take take time as I know that quality is important in..well everything..thanks for the advice too buddy

Welcome to the community! I'm glad you've decided to start writing, and I have no advice that hasn't already been said by all the wonderful people above. If you have any questions, there's a good chance that there's an article in the help section that will tell you how to do it, and if not, there are tons of helpful people floating around in the forums who can answer your questions.

I see..well I guess I better look into it soon and thanks for the feedback owh and before I forgot how can I add my own cover art like in "The Other World"?( I take it back..I know how already thanks)
