Madeleine Valois is a prince's companion. Her job is to guide and advise him, to make him look good so that he can land a royal bride. It is her responsibility to keep him out of trouble - not to let him walk blindly into a political minefield, not to let him get arrested for a crime he didn't commit, and definitely not to let him fall in love with her.
Unfortunately, events are not going according to plan...
So, this isn't actually new news, since it's been out for a while... but I happened to stop by Hanako Games' website and noticed that their latest visual novel is out... and they're giving a discount to people who spread the word. Hence the shameless plug. XD
Now, obviously, I haven't actually bought the game yet, but the demo is promising... and I can say that Hanako's last game, Long Live the Queen, was fantastic.
Anyway, hope a couple of you will be interested enough to grab the demo!
I get the feeling she's probably going to fail horribly at her last objective ^_^
Shouldn't you have a link or something? So that way they, well, know you did the shameless plug in?
Darn, forgot to link the image like I meant to.... clickity link!
And yes, it's basically a romance sim... EVERYONE falls in love with the protagonist, depending on which path you take. With the possible exception of Cassidy, the princess. XD
Looks pretty interesting =)
Well, if there isn't a path that can make the princess and madame rival each other, then it isn't possible to produce an anime adaptation, is it?
I was wrong about the above, incidentally. Not sure HOW wrong, since I've only played one path, but Gaston's path != Gaston falling for Maddie. Thank goodness. XD
So, yeah... Gaston's good ending is WIN. If I have one critique of the game at this point, it's that the only reason I was even on that path was because of spoiler-y stuff I'd read online... you don't really get to make an informed decision about who to 'pursue,' so to speak. But yeah. Still awesome.
That's the point of the game. To explore for yourself XD
