Would you believe I wrote a cyoa game without any knowledge of this site or any idea how long it would take? Just did it in Word for Pete's sake. Exhausting. But I'm here now with it, so that's cool, I guess. No idea if I'll ever make another one (a long one, at least), but I certainly have an idea or two if I can allot the time someday.

Featured Story Your Fate Like Clockwork

Delve into a world of quicksilver and night creatures as you take on the role of a witch hunter thrust into a village of grisly horrors. Choose which direction your investigation will go and how you react to your surroundings as you fight, run, hide, die, and turn back the hands of time by the fate-altering powers of your arcane pocket watch. Explore fetid streets, flooded catacombs, feral countryside, and a dilapidated castle to uncover the dark, festering secrets hidden in the fog--some of which may be better left buried.

But then. . . what sort of hunter would you be--to neglect even one stone?

Pretty sure they direct to the exact same page. But it's a good playlist anyway. I used it myself for Clockwork.

Can someone criticize this small excerpt? on 3/3/2022 2:46:18 PM
Makes perfect sense. Just be sure to edit "chiller" into "chillier". I could see myself missing an error like that in revision.

I've taken this to heart and while I won't be altering the environments themselves at this point, I'm implementing some changes that might make those sections more bearable. Assuming you're talking about the dungeon section, I've added a scribbled dungeon map that can be found in town under the right circumstances. If it's the stairwell you mean, then I'm working out what sort of fight scene could be added to it to break up some of the left-right consecutiveness, in addition to what's currently hidden there.

I've added the links because I'm a man of the people. Sorry if my first reply to you came off passive-aggressive; it was actually a genuine question. But by my second reply I wasn't willing to listen anymore.

I assume I'm chalking up one person who didn't notice "END" is a page link itself. Should I hint at that somewhere or make it more obvious? Maybe a lighter shade of blue so it looks more like what people expect a link to look like?

And I doubt I'll be making another. Maybe.

Thanks for the shoutout. I was just about to put this in the Parlor, actually. Just wanted to get some sleep first. Yeah, I wrote it offsite. Had to manually input all those italics tags and paragraph spacing after the fact, since I didn't write it for this site at first. As well as figuring out html for some of the puzzles, since they otherwise relied on readers being able to select any page at any time. For something that was already done when I started pasting, there was a surprising amount that needed doing to get it all here. But I'm glad there's an easy way to play it now.
