[Forums] Real Time Forum Thread Updates

I would really like it if I didn't have to refresh the page just to see if something new happened. I understand that the owner of this site has put in some funky code, but I still think this possible. I know it's just me being lazy, but I would really LOVE to see something like this.

Also, when I'm on slow internet it takes forever to reload the page. If it just updated one small post instead of the entire page, I think it would be a lot easier.

Thanks in advance (even if it never happens).

You do realize that would likely be harder to set up than to make the new site look? Have you even seen a real-time refreshed forum?

Maybe your thinking of a chat-room.

Yes, I have seen plenty of real-time forums. It doesn't need to refresh, it just needs to be awaiting a signal to add to the already written forum. It actually seems pretty simple. If I knew how to write code for websites I could (probably) easily do it.

Does no one else have anything to say on the matter?

I say get something like Legendfire or TeenRPG, it's not exactly real time but about 30-120 seconds or so (I never kept track) it automatically refreshes.

EDIT: this was posted 24 days ago... I think I'm a bit late.

Just a bit. I still stand by my post unless the real-time forums have links to them.
