I think this may have been asked before, but with the sudden increase in CYS debates (abortion, gun control, piracy) i think it would be a great idea to add a forum solely for debates. Thoughts?

Naw, the Lounge is meant to have those debate threads. Otherwise it's a waste of space.

Nah, I just think it's not necessary. It's not like there are an overwhelming number of debate threads.
Hmm... If we did this they would have to be *serious* debates. No going off topic into another debate, maybe a neutral adjudicator to point out where someone is sidestepping or ignoring an argument... To make sure no-one can talk like Sarah Palin while meant to be debating.
So you're basically saying it'd be like debate club? Sounds intriguing...
