Hello There

Hello. I've  found this site while looking for interactive games and I have to say I'm really liking it so far. Anyways, I'm here to meet some of you guys since I'll probably be sticking around for a while. How do you do?

Hello There

Welcome. :)

I do very well. How bout you?

Hello There

Doing just about fine. c: Nice dragon.

Hello There

Thank you. :D Took me around 10 hours to do. Probably would have turned out better if I hadn't been using the really old version of photoshop. (Adobe CS2 - where I believe they've come out with CS10 already, or something like that)

You draw?

Hello There

Just about any creative activity that does not require me to be active. Drawing, writing, composing, singing, a couple others. Not so great at just about anything else. (I've burnt Mac&Cheese. That takes some serious skills to do. X_x)

Mac & cheese can't be that hard to cook.

Hello There

It's the easiest thing you can cook - premade noodle in a box, you put in boiling water for 3 minutes, drain it, toss the dry noodles back into the pot, add in butter, the powder cheese that comes in the box, and milk. The fact that I burned it, well, doesn't reflect very well on my cooking abilities. >_<'

Hello There

You put milk in mac and cheese?

Hello There

You're supposed to. I think it's around 1/4 of a cup. I'd have to check the box to confirm the amount.

Hello There

Yes. After you boil the pasta, you strain the water off, put it back in the pot, pour in 1/4 cup of milk, then add the cheese powder.

Hello There

It's because of the powder. The cheese powder is gross, though. Packaged noodles are okay but that stuff gets so chewy.. Am I the only person using real cheese?

Hello There

Fine.

Get a box of regular macaroni, cook it, and make your own sauce with milk, flour, and cheese.

Hello There

Who knew that macaroni and cheese was so complicated.

Hello There

The people who made mac 'n' cheese before Kraft.

Hello There

Kraft?

Hello There

Creators of the most common macaroni and cheese product in America.

Hello There

Oh yeah...I think I've seen that before. Do they only make mac and cheese?

Hello There

No, they make all sorts of cheese-based products (blocks of cheese, shredded cheese, cheese sauces, etc.)

Hello There

Just going to say it: I hate Kraft mac and cheese. I don't care how popular it is, that stuff is awful. If I want mac and cheese, I make pasta and melt cheese on it in the microwave. Not really mac and cheese, but better than Kraft.

*braces self for hate*

Hello There

Kraft is bad, but melting cheese on pasta is worse. You should at least make a proper cheese sauce.

You Americans must have immensely deteriorated taste buds from all that pre-packaged food.

Hello There

American student checking in here -- Ramen still fuels my soul.

Hello There

Well, sure, I'll make an exception for ramen because I like it and it's great for broke students and all, but still. Powdered cheese...?

Hello There

Hey, I'm an American and I fully acknowledge powdered cheese is crap, but if you're poor... well...

Hello There

Well, at least we don't have to worry about entire meals getting caught in our mangled dental work.

Hello There

Wouldn't dull foods, if anything, enhance one's sense of taste?

Hello There

That's insulting! I have never eating pre-packaged food IN MY LIFE.

Hello There

Don't know why you'd expect much, if any, retaliation. It's not the worst thing ever, but there really are so many better alternatives.

Hello There

Powdered cheese or even that packaged solid stuff could never compete with homemade. Well, it can compete, but it won't win.

Hello There

When you make it from scratch, you can use any melt-able cheese you like and throw a few little extra things in very easily.

Hello There

I mean, burning something over a "burner" can't be that big a blunder.

Hello There

Your flagrant pyromania doesn't justify ruining every single piece of food you touch.

Greetings from some Scottish person currently living in the U.S. whom you do not know. I'm doing quite well, thank you. And you?

Hello There

Sorry. I had to sleep, because it was midnight over here. Anyways, I'm doing okay so far.

Hello There

Damn good. :)

Anyway, welcome to CYS. If you need anything in particular, feel free to PM me. I will do my best to help.

Hello There

Thank you :D

Er, how do you PM someone? '-.-

1) Click on their username

2) Once you're at their profile page, look to the top far right. There should be a box full of various information - join date, last time online, point history.

3) At the bottom of the box, there will either be one or two options; send message or challenge to a duel, or just send message. (that depends on whether or not the user allows duels.)

I believe it's pretty obvious what to do from there. ^_^

Hello There

Wow thank you! I've never expected the link to be there.

Hello There

Once you start learning the various usernames, it may become easier go to

1) My Stuff
--Messages

2) Click on send a new message, top right.

There, you'll have to type in the username of the person you want to send it to.

Welcome! I've never heard of putting milk on macaroni cheese before, but I'll assume that's a thing people do and y'all aren't just a bunch of weirdoes.

Hello There

It is, in fact, a thing.

Hello There

Milk is a major component of cheese, and of cheese sauce, sooo... yeah, it's a thing. Every time you have eaten Mac and Cheese, you have eaten a dish made with milk. :P

Hello There

Maybe it's not even a Fedora©®™ but one of those fake cheapo thingies you can buy anywhere.

Hello There

e.g. Trilby.

...unless you're trying to imply fedoras are brand-name products.

Right, Trilby. No, I was not, no. No.
