I didn't say it in the title, in fear of trolls, but I was wondering... are there any books that feature lgbt+ characters? I didn't find anything using the search function, though considering it is literally my first day I might've used it wrong, if thats possible? Please don't send hate, I just wanna read some gay stuff. Sorry if this is the wrong page, lmk if I should move it!

What, like gay porn? Because if you're not looking for gay porn, I don't particularly see why the protagonist being gay would matter that much.

You can only relate to protagonists if they share the same sexuality as you? Not only is that ridiculous, but if that's the case, you shouldn't be able to relate to LGBT Plus stuff, only one of the letters, or perhaps two. You really shouldn't be able to relate to trans stuff if you're not, and you should be able to relate to a character the same gender or attracted to the same gender as you then someone who also happens to be homosexual.

I've never understood this attitude. Do you also feel that straight people shouldn't read stories with gay protagonists? Men shouldn't read stories about women? Or that people should only read stories about their own race and culture?

Personally, I only read the Council of Nine stories directly about me, and nothing else.

I think your username should be giving you more reason to fear than your taste in stories.

The first example that comes to mind is Inseparable, a touching story of unstoppable love. In Suzy's Strange Saga there is one path where Suzy ends up falling in love with another woman. Then there are stories like Mazkil, where the protagonist can marry a man or a woman, though that only changes the ending slightly. And I'm sure I'm missing plenty. Enjoy!

All of Steve's protagonists are bisexual, with the exceptions of the Nightmare Kid and the Irishman.

Well, I suppose you could say they are, since even with someone like Dagden, who ends up in love with a woman, it's never specifically mentioned men are out of the question. There just is no option to be with one, as far as I know, so I didn't mention them.

I'm pretty sure there's allusions to all my protagonists being bisexual, except the two I mentioned, and also Jacob, because religion.
