Hello,
I've been thinking about joining this site for quite a while, and tonight finally decided to bite the bullet and do it.
While I consider myself much more of a reader than a writer, someday I would like to write my own project, and I decided this is the place to do it.
I'm curious to know, however, if it's possible for a visually impaired person using screenreader technology to write their own story. I've never done it before, never used a site like this to do it, though I see there is an option to do it. I'm only wondering how accessible is the process.
I look forward to reading and commenting and being a part of this community. Hopefully someday, if it's possible, I'll have my own story to contribute.
I'm not sure what all goes in a post of this nature, so I'll provide a tiny bit of background about myself. I'm from the USA, in Texas. I'm a 45-year-old married woman with a full time job as a medical language specialist...a glorified way to say I'm a medical transcriptionist/editor. I've been married to the same awesome man for the past 21 years. Plenty of ups and downs, yet we're still putting up with each other's nonsense, so someone is bound to be doing something right. :)
I enjoy reading all kinds of different things with an emphasis on horror and mystery/suspense...Especially in the genre of psychological thriller. Or at least that's what my audible.com library would have you believe. I can't wait to see what's available here on CYS.
Okay that's enough about me. I look forward to shooting the breeze with all of you and reading your offerings.
