I finally decided to suck it up and make an account here after lurking for a bit. I'm excited to write, and to finally be able to leave reviews on stories.

Motivation? Ummm, if you don't write we'll send the next, more promising noob to your house with a baseball bat to break your kneecaps?

Here is some blunt motivation: Don't start off with this big sprawling adventure, 100k words, 20+ endings, etc. Start small and practice. Learn bit by bit and be honest with your work ethic. Don't bite off more than you can chew and you'll be fine. Also don't be afraid to post short stories you write or ask questions. Everyone is pretty chill, as long as you aren't annoying.

Most of the noobs we're getting are Wardens, so if you write a lot you might be able to get to the top of your faction.

Just do it!

It's a very simple point of advice, but if you've ever felt any hesitation to write, it's best to just get started and put yourself out there. Your first work is never going to be perfect, and you'll only get better through practice and exposure. Good luck!
