     I have no idea why tags are there at all. What purpose do they serve?

Like Mystic said, it's mostly for organizational use. I don't know if it's a feature limited to the extension or not but you can search storygames by tags using the search function. Basically, if you want to read a story with a villain protagonist, you can do a search with the tag and get all the stories that have that tag.

My guess is it's just an organisational feature. If readers want to read a specific type of story, they could search for this using the tags.

Well I don't know about everyone else, but I think it may be an organizational feature.

It's not very helpful if people don't really use it...

Question: If you were to use tags, what tags should you use? Male or female leading character is stupid (imo), the genre is already displayed, so what use is the tags? Organisational, but into what categories?

I hope this isn't too crazy and out there of an opinion, but I think most people would use the tags that describe the contents of the story.

They're just good for search functionality and act as brief descriptors of the content

Well, the point of fags is... oh, my bad.  You seem to be talking about something else. 

It was originally tags, someone changed it but this thread got the attention of multiple admins so I don't know who. Probably Thara (no offense meant!)
