Questions about a storygame? Thoughts on Eternal? Any other IF you're playing out there?

Do you read your own story-games?

I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, or maybe if I even asked it before.

But do you read your own story-games after you've written them and sent them out into the world to be read, rated reviewed/commentated on?

For some reason, I don't really find it entertaining to do so.. read my own stories. (Probably why the few stories I have are filled with so many typos and issues..) I do appreciate ratings and comments, of course. And I like when people enjoy my writing. But I myself, personally can't read back my stories. I probably remember less of the details than people that wrote featured comments, in all honesty. Maybe it's because I've already seen the skeletal work behind it? Or maybe the after all the work with getting all of the links togetherm it just makes me want to wash my hands with it all after I hit publish, lol.

Tldr: I have only read my own story-games as I was vomiting out the words to get them done. I find reading other people's works more excting than my own.

How about you guys?

I find my own writing really cringey to read after I've finished it and sent it out to be seen by other people, so no. Plus...there's the fact that I know what's going to happen in my own work, whereas other people's writing can surprise me.

I love reading my own stories especially after I've had time to forget them, but for some reason the site keeps track of when an author reads their own stories and that kinda messes up the numbers, so I avoid doing it.
