Glad to see the old place has hardly changed since I was a kid. A lot of these kinds of sites went down or went through so many revisions and rebrandings that I can barely recognize them. It's been fun going through the old stories, but I haven't been able to find a specific one that I was never able to "win" when I was younger.

It was a pretty generic Hunger Games style dystopia world. It had cities segregated into caste-based districts. I don't remember a ton of the plot (I think it was a lot more gameplay based than something like Eternal?), but you play as a kid whose home city gets destroyed. Eventually you meet up with some kind of rebellion group and go through some kind of reality warping final sequence to... do something. Save the day? Kill the evil dictator? I remember liking the first half a lot more, especially given that the one time I managed to have high enough stats to get through all the bullshit enemies, I got locked into some kind of bad ending because of some moral failing or another I committed from early in my play through.

I stopped playing after that, and the next time I went looking for it, I couldn't find it anywhere. I don't even remember the name anymore. I remember it doing really creative stuff with the visuals. A foliage effect for when you're in the forest, a pitch black page simulating darkness. (I just used ctrl+A...)

Any of this ringing a bell to anyone?

What was your old account? And sorry to have to ruin your nostalgia a little, but the author turned out to be a big creep collecting a harem of teen boys on Skype and engaging in (*gag*) erotic furry roleplay with minors, so he had to be banned since he unfortunately couldn't just be shot like a dog. Though he had taken his games down previous to that anyway in a sulk over a disagreement with 3J.

Yikes! That's no good. Well that's that I guess. Not the response I was expecting. This site sure has weathered a lot of freaks. I guess it makes sense that this forum would attract some real creeps. I guess I'll just settle on never finishing that particular story. At least Endmaster's stuff is still here, that's most of what I read.

It's funny that the guy whose whole thing is being a controversial edgelord troll is the one to basically just be a normal guy...

I don't remember my old account name unfortunately! I didn't really engage much in the forums, mostly just played through the games. (Maybe that's a good thing though. I was probably the exact right demographic to be groomed by this author - yikes!)
