Hello!

I'm a sorta-kinda-ish long-time user (a bit) (-ish), taking a look at this site for the first time in a while, hoping to finally make an actual storygame and participate around here a little.

Fun little thing: I originally came here from Infinite Story (does anyone know if that site still has a population? the forums seem to have been purged from the Internet), then stumbled my way over here, reading every storygame I could and lurking the forums daily (somehow) for a period lasting maybe 2013–2016. I did eventually make an account (this account) but fell off pretty fast.

What's changed in nine-ish years? To what extent is this still an unwilling Warrior Cats fansite? Do people still play those super-unique spreadsheet-based forum battle games (possible constructed memory)?

Wow, yeah, actually, I recognise the username. Something about sporks, I think? Maybe? Braincells clearly lost, memories, people, faded and mixed up. Where can I get compensation?

The admin abuse help line; unfortunately all of us still around from that time are now admins so you probably won't get sympathy.

That sort of makes sense. Are the admins from back then also still around, or is this an unavoidable, self-replacing generational thing that'll probably have rolled over again a decade from now (at which point this website's colour scheme will have changed to an imperceptibly darker shade of brown like aging paper, or something)?

Surprisingly people still post stories over on IS, unfortunately it seems like weird fetish porn has taken root in the place due to practically no law there or cohesive community to try to curb such things.

But like I said, it's still active to some degree.

This is sort of shocking to discover but thank you! I'll probably take a look at some of the stuff that isn't weird fetish porn. Any particular newer stories you like on there?

Also, hi, forgive me, am a fan. I read all of your then-extant stories on IS at a time when I might have been too young to be reading stuff like that (maybe the very early 2010s?) and, while I don't remember the plots too well, I remember that I re-read Death Song more than the vast majority of things I remember liking at that age. Thank for the pleasant times!

I haven't read anything on there in quite awhile, though I think there are still some newer stories there not full of degeneracy.

As for some of your other questions:

Warrior Cats shit and their fans got purged years ago.

You also seem to have been here also during the time of Pedo Mod Kiel and Con Mod Seth. Both of them are gone now as well and it's been a non-stop golden age at CYS ever since. You probably should go read the helpful history chronical that we keep here in the Lounge.

Thank you for the link. I had read the chronicle shortly before reviving this account, but it's a little bit of a wild read without the study guide, since no dates. It looks as though I must have tapped out of regularly checking this place at some point around the Site WAR period, as CoG sounds familiar. This does make it seem as though I left either right before CYS (as it now is) began its protracted origin story, or exactly when the shadowy chronicler's memory fully kicked in. Or both.

The main question that comes to mind after reading all that again is: why/how did you start adopting(?) people?
Also, long-overdue RIP to forum games, I guess.
