Hey for school im supposed to write a fictional story and im lost do any of y'all have story recommendations so that it can help me  think up something (has to be middle School appropriate)

Well first send a picture of the rubric or at least tell us what the parameters are. Assuming it’s a short story, most likely Modern/Normal, make it about someone with a boring job, so boring that he constantly daydreams about crazy shit, like murder, or maybe just cool adventures. And it gets them in trouble, or something idk. I would need a better idea for length and type of story.

My first advice is to ignore Bezro, who has never written anything even remotely passable in his time on the site, and also clearly has no idea what "middle school appropriate" means despite being in middle school himself.

I agree it would be useful to see more details on the assignment though. It does seem like you're just asking for a prompt, but that's a very broad question.

Are you asking for a prompt or recommendations for stories to read to give you inspiration?  

Also, this site is definitely not middle school appropriate. I would advise looking elsewhere.

oki ill ask my sister for inspiration instead if this app is not middle school appropriate also the writers key is at school because it's on paper we're supposed to be writing about engineering are something like that i think it's supposed to be jobs.

So yeah. A bored engineer that makes up stories, like she has to weld something before the Kraken eats her or whatever. Also, this site can be middle school friendly, just most of it isn’t.

There are many people who use it, only the really annoying ones are in middle school.

Just pay attention to the Maturity rating of anything you read, look for 5/8 and under. But it'd be better to come up with you own story obviously--how about a story about an engineer that has to design a habitat for a colony on Mars?

Write about a boy who wants to be an engineer and becomes the engineer of a train that can fly

Thats a good idea now i just got to get a plot thank you the plot part is easy so i can figure that out

The plot is that he lied on his Resume and isn't an Engineer at all. Hilarity ensues!

Well, he's a kid. So when he made his resume, it was in crayon. An orange crayon. And then he lost it (the crayon, not the resume). But his friend, Tim the Toad, found his crayon and returned it to him.

And he has a pig!

Write a story about a conspiracy at your school were it turns out most of the staff have been replaced by alien lookalikes, and the adventure will involve finding a janitor that everyone trusts who knows the secret to stopping the alien invaders and rescuing the true school staff.

EDIT: the protagonist could be a student interested in engineering who makes a flying train to help rescue the staff.

I actally made a story like that in 5th grade and it won this school writing contest
