I think the copyright statement need to be adapted to acknowledge www.choseyourstory.com and not just Myadventuregame.com. Some people may not realise they are practically the same site, meaning, the copyright is void to anything on chose your story.

A question for you Alex, the copyright statement says "HALOGEN STUDIOS is the exclusive owner of the copyright."
Does that mean that technically, we don’t have copyright ownership of any story we publish on the site? Or is it referring to the Site design etc?

this has been asked before. the whole copyright and such has been rehashed over and over. you could look it up on hte forums and find about 5 of these lol. the answers, from alex, are there too

Whoa, I'm getting de ja' vu' here.

Maybe someone should write a 'dumbed down' copyright agreement thing for some of the younger MAG members, or those who just don't have a clue what copyright is.

Think of it this way. Copyright is ownership. License is usage.

Say our story is a cool new Ferrari. We have ownership. But if we give it to MAG, Alexp and co. can cruise down the street in the snazzy sports car, because they have a license to drive it. As well as being able to use the car, they can do whatever they do wtih it, say, metaphorically, drive it off of a cliff and then burn it. Or more to the point, take photos of our car and sell them.

But don't worry, no matter how smashed up or burned they make our Ferrari, we still own it.

ive used that same excuse, but the fact is, this stuff is our best stuff. anyone who says that they can do better has tried and failed to prove it. its not because they dont put their best stuff on here, its because they dont have what it takes. the fact is, writing stories is a very difficult thing to do. and to add multipaths is even more difficult. the people we have on here dont take the time to write a strong story, if it takes more than a month, they quit. there are a small handful of exceptions to that rule, but hte fact is, people dont take enough time to make a great game. the copyright is just an excuse.
