Editor help?

RIght, how would I go about making it so if you have a certain score on variable A, you have to link to a certain page on page 10, whereas if your score was lower, you would have the option to link to two completely different pages? Looked on the FAQ but still am not clear.

Advanced Editor? I need to look at it. It has been over a month sense I messed with variables. Use the advanced editor if you arn't. What you are trying is impossible without it.

I am using the advanced editor, thus the variables, but yeah, if I was asking for help, I should have been more clear, sorry.

Ok, click the stop sign that sits next to your link text. Click variable restrictions and use those to hide the links you don't want active untill a certain condition is met.

I'd also set variables to advanced from the game properties page.

there is an article about variable restrictions here: http://chooseyourstory.com/help/articles/article.aspx?ArticleId=106

but it should be quite simple. Just click the stop-sign to the left of the link, and then variable restrictions. That should give you the option of only making each link available when a variable is over or under a number or other variable.

hope that helps :)

Thanks for the advice everyone. Just got sidetracked and looked at scripting, which looks quite daunting, but if needs be I'll give it go. But yeah, should be fine for now. :)

Scripting's really not too bad. Many members with no programming experience whatsoever have had no issue learning it.
