Can you describe what you want to do a bit more? Like you use an item, do you stay on the page? Do you go to a different page? Why are you using an item to change the variable?

Short answer though, is yes, you can use the Scripting on the Item to change any number of Variables each time the Item is used (like a potion of healing restoring Hit Points for example).
