Okay, so the whole thing altogether is "a shelf" -- but the individual flat pieces are each "a shelf" too. 

So, like, "this shelf has eight shelves?" 

Does anything else work this way?  Cause like, they're not really "drawers" they're actually "a chest of drawers"

I'm disassembling a set of shelves & reassembling them except now there's 3 cm more space between the individual shelfs than there was before.

Wait- the larger gestalt of shelf-- it has 9 shelves. . . On it? In it? 

Without the horizontal shelf component, it's a wall.

No, penguins do actually have knees, you just can't see them due to the feathers. In fact, their legs aren't as short as they appear to be either.

Actually, I'm not sure where I would get a penguin, period. I'm not sure the aquarium would be okay with me making off with one, even if it was in the name of science (and broke students who can't afford anything but instant ramen and V8 for sustenance)

At a lot of zoos now they have the Galapagos penguins, so they're just out in a pond where you could prolly grab one. XD

Supposedly they're really oily though, and taste more like fish than bird.

He could also ask if the zoos have any surplus chicks.

HI dunno if it's possible for drawers to have drawers inside of it. A shelf holding up other shelves doesnt make sense either though. I think it becomes a cabinet at that point. XD

No it's only a cabinet if it has doors.
