I haven't played in over a year but I wandered over to Pretend You're XYZZY today after I wound up playing a few rounds with my cousins IRL and it looks like they shut the server down for good just yesterday because of some unspecified drama.

Unless this guy is just a huge baby I can only assume child porn or something was involved because I can't imagine what else would create this kind of knee-jerk panic reaction.

Anybody know another place to play or is there some way to set up that server code on our own for CYS?

Wouldn't be surprised if something perverted happened here. There are plenty of Brennon's ilk on the internet, and a lot of places where chat either isn't the main focus or isn't imagined to be the main focus would rather disable any and all social functions (Or reduce all conversation to one of those menus a select number of selectable phrases) than deal with any possible fallout. I saw something like this happen to quite a few online games (and even two Online Virtual Worlds, in which one could argue chatting was the entire goddamn point) as a kid, when I was still adventurous and looking  for new places to go on the internet.
