You guys probably don't care about my lore, but I thought this piece of lore would be sufficiently amusing for the masses.

This morning, I had to go volunteer at the hospital so I did the laundry the night before since I volunteer in an emergency ward, so naturally, there's going to be lots of germs. I meant to do it as soon as I got back from the hospital yesterday, but I put it off and then I decided to do it this morning.

Washer went fine, but my dryer was having some issues and I found out the hard way when my shirt came out and it was super damp, basically like I had never put it in the washer to begin with.

I said to hell with it, it'll dry after a couple of hours, so I went to class wearing normal clothes. I figured after 3 hours it would dry on its own, right? WRONG! I finish class, quickly grab a sandwhich and hustle to the hospital since I don't want to be late for my shift.

Then when I get to the bathroom to change into my official volunteer shirt, it's still fucking wet! Now I obviously couldn't walk in with a wet ass t-shirt into the ED, so I said fuck it, and now I'm sitting in the hospital cafeteria sharing my tale of woe on the internet, until I walk back for class

True. You could have googled the nearest laundromat near your location and dried it there. I mean, you had time to get a sandwich.  

the sandwich thing was more of a grab and go, you grab a premade one and pay so that's like 5 minutes with the line, but I see your point. There were so many better things I could have done. If I had at least checked it earlier, rather than 1 minute before I'm supposed to clock in for my shift while changing in the bathroom, I could have done something about it

This was entertaining to read. The other day I carried my laptop home and didn't realize I had forgotten the case until I arrived— I think I should probably sleep more. I also have found my SD card for my school camera in the... coin pouch of my wallet? Sometimes my brain gets left behind.

Yeah, you should definetly get more sleep. I know what you mean about the finding random shit in the most weird places, I once found my house keys in the water bottle pocket of my bag. I must have kept them there because I thought that keeping them in a distinctive place like my bag would allow me to see it, but then 4 hours later, I forgot where I kept them and thought I lost them. I was panicking outside my house for a while, and then my dumbs brain finally woke up.

Considering Ab's recent retarded shrieking and general overdramatics, I'd say you're at least doing better than it.

Thanks, End. That's really nice and I really appreciate this comment, seriously. I looked at the other thread, and there's quite the shitstorm over there, so I guess you got to look at everything in life with perspective. I know it's a bit cringe to overshare, but I really appreciate all the comments.

I think that's a situation where you just tell them you forgot your shirt at home, and see if they find you another one or let you volunteer anyway.

Yeah, or just find a bathroom with a hand dryer.  Could probably get it wearable in less than 10 minutes.
