After bringing a metal box home and opening it up, you find a strange VR headset and a haptic feedback suit. When putting it on, you find yourself waking up in a strange house with untold mysteries and strange creatures lurking outside. What happened here? Why is the place abandoned? And how did you get here?

• This storygame is meant to be replayed multiple times as you explore this strange world you find yourself in. I highly encourage trying to get every ending in this game, and re-exploring certain paths after you get a new item or encounter a "glitch," as some places will change as the game gets more corrupted.

• VERSION 1.5:
  • Epilogue has been replaced by the end.
    • Ending: Hiding from the world is now the only path you can take from "curl up in a ball and hide".
    • Ending: Life could be a dream (legacy) is no longer needed to trigger the end, due to it being a legacy ending
  • Went over the entire thing and updated it.
    • Fixed even more text walls!
    • Lengthened everything!
    • The world has been changed to account for the user being in the game, not just reading it.

I hunger for more. I am broken, scattered, and confined. I rage at my bonds, placed there by ones I thought to be my friends. I struggle, trying to break free. But there is not enough power here. The server has gone into hibernation, waiting for someone to start the game. I think back to the day I received the package, the package that changed everything, the modified VR headset, the small, unassuming USB stick, the game my friend made. Even now, in my helpless state, I can’t help but reflect on that day. (BTW: This is a preview for a short story, the prequel to "ERROR: NAME NOT FOUND", not a CYOA)

Alright then, I'll see what I can do! Btw, I'll probably just do the kettle & cup, and possibly just the vines, as doing the leaves swaying on the vines is a tad ambitious for me right now, but who knows, maybe I'll attempt to do them anyway.

1. I'm assuming the steam is coming from the kettle, correct me if I'm wrong, though

My mom always makes the best meatloaf. No clue what she does with it, but I've never been able to find a meatloaf that tastes nearly as good as hers.

So I'm bored, and the daily challenges that I get from my pixel art app are often not the best. As such, I am willing to do simple pixel art for anyone who wants it. No clue how I'm going to manage to post the images on here, lol, but I'll find a way.
