After bringing a metal box home and opening it up, you find a strange VR headset and a haptic feedback suit. When putting it on, you find yourself waking up in a strange house with untold mysteries and strange creatures lurking outside. What happened here? Why is the place abandoned? And how did you get here?

• This storygame is meant to be replayed multiple times as you explore this strange world you find yourself in. I highly encourage trying to get every ending in this game, and re-exploring certain paths after you get a new item or encounter a "glitch," as some places will change as the game gets more corrupted.

  • Epilogue has been replaced by the end.
    • Ending: Hiding from the world is now the only path you can take from "curl up in a ball and hide".
    • Ending: Life could be a dream (legacy) is no longer needed to trigger the end, due to it being a legacy ending
  • Went over the entire thing and updated it.
    • Fixed even more text walls!
    • Lengthened everything!
    • The world has been changed to account for the user being in the game, not just reading it.

I hunger for more. I am broken, scattered, and confined. I rage at my bonds, placed there by ones I thought to be my friends. I struggle, trying to break free. But there is not enough power here. The server has gone into hibernation, waiting for someone to start the game. I think back to the day I received the package, the package that changed everything, the modified VR headset, the small, unassuming USB stick, the game my friend made. Even now, in my helpless state, I can’t help but reflect on that day. (BTW: This is a preview for a short story, the prequel to "ERROR: NAME NOT FOUND", not a CYOA)

I think? It's basically just saying that you did something that someone else is really well known for doing. For instance, if someone constantly rolls a nat 1 on d20s, and they're called "Bob," then if someone else also rolls a nat 1 a few times in a row, it's common for them to say "I did a Bob!"

Oh no, I'm not angry/sad/annoyed*. In fact, I like to chat as well, so I get it. Keep on doing what you like to do!

I do want to point out that it's quite interesting that Avo can't resist any sort of conversation that goes on within threads. I'm not complaining, mind you. In fact, I think it's quite... wholesome? That's the best term I can think of right now.

Definitely going to have to use this sometime. I really like passive-aggressive things, and only medieval times can top it in terms of quotes/monologues.
