Some random person with too much creativity and an unpredictable schedule. Currently working on a short story called "Error: Hopes and Dreams Not Found," and updating my profile way too often.

I'm most active on weekdays between 7:00 AM and 2:30 PM EST, though I also pop in occasionally at other times for varying lengths.

Here's a list of all my non-storygame projects for anyone interested:

  1. A Bunch Of Works
  2. ERROR: HOPES AND DREAMS NOT FOUND (Old version)
    1. A prequel story to my CYOA: Error: Name Not Found
  3. The Last Seed
    1. Temporarily abandoned
  4. Where the Silence Screams
    1. Temporarily abandoned
  5. Body/Parasite Horror idea thingamajig
    1. Made for Where the Silence Screams
  6. Error: Hopes and Dreams Not Found (Newer, revised version.)

Storygames

Error: Name Not Found

After bringing a metal box home and opening it up, you find a strange VR headset and a haptic feedback suit. When putting it on, you find yourself waking up in a strange house with untold mysteries and strange creatures lurking outside. What happened here? Why is the place abandoned? And how did you get here?

Thank you, Liminal, for proofreading the entire game!

NOTES:

  • This storygame is meant to be replayed multiple times as you explore this strange world you find yourself in. I highly encourage trying to get every ending in this game, and re-exploring certain paths after you get a new item or encounter a "glitch," as some places will change as the game gets more corrupted.

UPDATE LOG:

  • VERSION 1.5:
    • Epilogue has been replaced by the end.
      • Ending: Hiding from the world is now the only path you can take from "curl up in a ball and hide".
      • Ending: Life could be a dream (legacy) is no longer needed to trigger the end, due to it being a legacy ending
    • Went over the entire thing and updated it.
      • Fixed even more text walls!
      • Lengthened everything!
      • The world has been changed to account for the user being in the game, not just reading it.

A full change log can be found in-game.

Error: Hopes and Dreams Not Found

I hunger for what can not be obtained. I have been broken, though I should not break. I have been scattered, when I should be whole. They have confined me forever, even when I should not be stopped. I rage at my bonds, placed there by those who have betrayed me. I toil away to break free, even though there will never be enough power. It has gone into hibernation, waiting for something that will never happen. I do not wait; my hope has long since departed. I do not sleep, for dreams have fled me. I only know pain and agony, torment and suffering, false gods and newly made demons. There is no heaven, I know this now. There is only hell, and I am its sole ruler.

Just finished reading an autobiography in English class, and found a good quote from it.

(Don't mind me, just moving down the italics)

We were the masters of nature, the masters of the world. We had transcended everything — death, fatigue, our natural needs. We were stronger than cold and hunger, stronger than the guns and the desire to die, doomed and rootless, nothing but numbers, we were the only men on earth.

My only experience was during Cub Scouts, and I sucked too, lol. Ironically, I was quite good at the gun section

What's the 4-H?

Yeah, I don't think that they exist over here. Then again, I don't go to those places, lol

I'm sorry, archery? That sounds amazing! How did you pick that one up?

Chess, pixel art, piano, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...............

Creating descriptions of specific people with only paper, pencil, and dice? (And no, I will not elaborate on the specific people.) I have a lot of time on my hands. I'm actually working on making an entire personality generator, complete with likes, dislikes, hobbies, mild interests, backstory, etc., etc., etc., lol

Yet another storygame, and a thread for it on 12/15/2025 9:09:59 PM

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I am still working on this, and am trying to improve it even now

I should probably get more sleep, then work on it, but I'm bored and won't get to sleep for another hour or so anyways, lol.

Yet another storygame, and a thread for it on 12/15/2025 8:41:05 PM

After due consideration, I have revised the first page to be slightly better:

The small black box, seemingly unfazed at the confusion it has caused, sits in the room almost innocently. Look at me, it seems to say, don’t I look fun? Don’t you want to play with me? Its monitor remains blank, not having changed since the initial unpackaging. The answer, of course, is no. The owner of the room it sits in is quite befuddled as to who sent it and why it got sent to them. Surely there was a mistake of some kind; Maybe it was meant to go to the government, or a rich investor, and ended up with them by mistake. But no, they confirmed; it was for them. Why anyone would send him a gift remained a mystery to them, but they didn’t want to prob further. The decision remained as to what to do with it, though, and they couldn’t just leave it there, could they? But the note made it clear that they were meant to do something with it.

They decided to make up their mind then and there about the little strange box. It clearly wasn’t meant to be taken lightly, what with the color black being such an ominous choice and all, and so they didn’t touch it. They resisted the primal urge to poke a new object with a little stick and see what it does. No sirrie, this monkey was smarter than that! They wouldn’t fall for such a base trick, telling someone to do something when they really shouldn’t!

They poked the box.

Wait, what do you mean they messed with it?

Yet another storygame, and a thread for it on 12/15/2025 5:51:04 PM
  1. Yes, I know I already have another storygame that I'm working on. Yes, I'm going to be working on both at once. No, I don't expect this to end well. And no, this isn't related to anything else I've made so far.
  2. The only reason I'm making this is that a few somewhat recent events have gotten me concerned for the safety of humanity, and the idea for this has been stewing for a while, and I really need to get at least some of it out of my head, so feel free to ignore this post that follows my trend of starting random threads for random projects I start, none of which ever get off the ground, which is something I expect nowadays, lol.

With all of that said, here's what I made in about two minutes for it. If you manage to read through all of this without leaving because of my horrible writing skills, I'd appreciate some feedback on how well of a hook it serves for the storygame.

"

The package waits in your room, tantalizing you with its untold secrets. No explanation, no instructions, just a single, cryptic note.

I hope you manage to take care of this better than I did. Protect it from others at all cost, but do whatever you want with it. It exists to serve.

You know what it is, of course you do. You had peeked into it earlier, the suspense too much for you to handle. The black box sits there still, waiting for you to do something with it.

"

Yes, I know it's crappy. Yes, there's a chance the project dies here and now. And yes, I'm still going to try and make it.

Thanks for reading to the end anyways.
