Player Comments on Day of the Dog

It started off really good, then ended up just ok.

The first page actually pulled me in really well. The description was very nice and I could almost feel the day. Then, of course, the immersion was broken by a painfully obvious typo. Next came immature writing style that just disappointed me. You can't start off so good then just derail instantly.

I get it, it's supposed to be a cute little story about being a dog, but it could have been done so much better. If you kept the tone of the first two lines for the whole story, I would have absolutely loved it. A wholesome, descriptive story about the life of a dog. But it just wasn't. The writing style kind of ruined it for me.

There were several spelling errors throughout, usually a missing letter in a word that sticks out. You need to proofread before you publish so that those things don't happen, and you need to refine your style so that the reader isn't lost after the first two lines.

Really funny and entertaining story game. I broke down laughing when I saw the "Hump James" Option XD

Started with some interesting description, fell immediately into basic description. Lost it's grip, but my eight yo enjoyed clicking through.

It's a cute, touching story.

This was a nice little story. The picture's were cute and the writing was all pretty competent. Good work.

I would say, this is nice.
The grammar was good, with neat sentences and not much mistakes.
Maybe more description about the dog, though. Where does it come from? Where is he now? How is his relationship with other dogs in the house? Needs more describing.
There were three to four interesting options, which was very good in my opinion. I enjoyed the story, but the fact is there is no actual storyline. What is the dog planning or what is his goal? The story would be much better with that.

This was a lot of fun, I did catch many spelling errors on a few pages..

I love it and it's a lot of fun! I think it could be a little longer though. I had a good time playing it, it's like the only good dog game I could find.

I found myself quite intrigued in the story once a rope was in the story. I then started to get unbelievably excited at the possibilities of the rope, labeled under "Toys." Sadly, nothing happened except my butt-boy instincts told me to throw it on the cabinet. Once bored again, another possibility opened itself to me. I woke up my "owner" then went outside and found the most beautiful thing in the game, I stumbled upon an infinite loop and taking a dump. I was quite enjoyed with the game once I could take a dump every two seconds. 40/20 would take a number 2 again.

Very humerous story with pure potential, I was suprised to hear that this was your first! Very nice story, but maybe there could be a goal of some sort?

This was wonderful for a first attempt. You were getting used to the editor, which is wonderful. Just from your writing, you could improve on the grammar a bit, and try not short write like you're texting. For example, on one page you put 'Nuff said'. It's not hard to write 'Enough said' , okay?
But, all in all this was a wonderful story! I have a feeling you will do great with variables, items, and even scripting. I'm so glad you joined, and keep up the good work!

Wow i loved it, very funny. I like how much you give for us to do. The game lacks a goal though, If you were to include one that would be great.

Good for what it was: a story about your dog. You really did start with something you know as your first story! Since I'm nitpicky about grammar, I have to say that on at least one occasion you capitalized "you" in the middle of a sentence, in some scene wherein Kuma was running around. Having a single grammatical error is simply unforgivable, and it disrupted the flow of this delicate piece... Seriously though, it was pretty good.

It was really cute. I've seen that hat around Montgomery when I go up there sometimes.

I liked it. I can't say it was an impact-full story, but then again, I suppose it wasn't meant to be. It was a good first game and fulfilled it purpose, being entertaining. I gave it a 6/8
