Player Comments on Running Program...

Most of the riddles were very simple and didn't require much thought. Especially the question that asked you the first letter of the alphabet. Tricks like that work with verbal communication, but is hard to use in text form where people are more likely to be reading more carefully and slowly. The final question took me a lot longer to get than I'd like to admit, so good job on that one.

Grammar was under mediocre, most notably during the story about the little girl and her horse. I understand that it's only there to distract the reader, but the only thing distracting about it is how difficult it is to read.

Overall, I liked the running program theme, but the questions were too simple. Grammar is, of course, always fixable. It would be a lot better if it was longer and the questions progressively got harder. The general idea of the quiz was solid, but lacking in a few areas. 4/8

Can't quite tell whether the puzzles were really clever or really stupid since there were a few I didn't understand at all, and I'm not 100% sure whether they didn't make sense because you're just too smart for me, or if they just didn't make sense in general.

Still, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt because the puzzles that I did understand were clever enough. ^_^

The premise was cute. The writing itself was also decent; I didn't notice any grammatical errors, and the intro was written in an interesting / suspenseful way.

I get that part of the suspense was that you 'die' if you get any question wrong, but I found having to click 'go back' if you mess up to be frustrating. The riddles themselves were okay. Most of them made logical sense, although there were a few trick questions inserted in.

Overall, it was a decent (if short) little game.

This was just dumb. Some questions had the ‘correct’ answer actually be wrong, other questions were guesses, and the last question? I thought you might have to click the sixth ‘the sixth’ link, but no.

This was hard to follow because some of the logic is subjective. I lost on the first question because I was thinking "when you buy one apple and one lemon, you only have one. But you buy one BUNCH of bananas. Therefore, he could make more profit from one purchase." How was I supposed to know he was going to make it into lemonade? Most of the questions are like that. Some are easy, some are just confusing and poorly strung together. I don't mean to be rude or unkind. But if you're making a riddle, you have to write it in view of how someone else would reach the conclusion you already know. If you write it so that you, who knows the answer, will be able to get it, then it won't work. In other words, give the person all of the information they need to solve the riddle in the riddle itself, but make it as inconspicuous as possible so they have to think about it.

Okay... The questions got increasingly more confusing... 4/8.

I would suggest doing this in the advanced editor considering when you get one wrong, people can just click go back.

Okay, so that was pretty good This is just a storygame about you playing a game of solving riddles. You lose, you die by the apparent explosives placed in your system. The plot was simple enough, and the riddles were hard enough that this was pretty sweet game. There were no grammatical errors in the writing as far as I could see.

However, my only complaints are the fact that you could've probably added an explanation to the questions once you got them right. You did that with the first question, but I didn't see it in the others.

Secondly, the answering system was far too easy to cheat with. One could easily just pick all the answers until they get the right one (totally didn't do that for the last q). However I can't see a possibly way to implement this. So this isn't much of a complaint, really :P.

My third complaint is that you could really add to this! I mean there were only, like, 6-10 riddles, right? You coudl've added more to make people think. I felt that this was way to small and more riddles could've been added.

7/8. No errors, really.

A nice little game. Some of the answers were a bit dumb though. like for example. On the one where it asked how many question I had been asked,The answer was 3. but you said 5?

I thought this was really clever and I liked the riddle logic. The computer format was original. I kinda sorta made it to the end without messing up...okay, I said I'd been asked four questions instead of five. Darn.

Neat little riddles. I had never heard them before, but they follow standard riddle logic. Did you come with them yourself? Anyway, they were getting a bit annoying near the very end.

Interesting, I like the idea. The only thing I would change is add some pictures, like of the computer maybe?

Pretty fun and challenging. But I didn't really get that sixth one...

I read your comment a bit too late, but I replayed this because I felt that I rated this unfairly. I finally understood that last question, and I give you props for outsmarting a whole bunch of us :D.

Not a bad riddle program. The last question is missing some text though. Could be a Six or higher if longer or extra bells and whistles.

This was actually an interesting game! I liked the simulated feel you gave it so that it enhanced the game into making it seem as if it were being run on a computer (Well, I guess it is...). The questions were for the most part complex and involved deeper thinking in order to get it right. The only one that seemed a bit off to me was the one with the seven "The Sixth" options. How were we supposed to figure that one out? Other than that, a great game. Make it longer.

I quite sure that by the third question, we've been asked six questions. Maybe I'm a dunce, but the last question doesn't make any sense. I like how you formatted the quiz so it felt like a game.
