1.Okay, think of one number... one digit is the best.

2. Morgan gives you that much

3. I give you...say, 6.

4. divide by 2.

5. Give back Morgan how much he gave you.

6. The remaining number is 3.

Here.

1. 5

2. 5+5 is 10

3. 10+6 is 16

4. 16 (i cant find the divide sign) 2, and thats 8

5. 8-5 is 3

6. The remaning number is three (yes)

coincidence? I think not.

1. 6

2. 6+6 is 12

3. 12+6 is 18

4. 18 (again, the divide sign) 2, and thats 9

5. return 6 to Morgan 9-3 and thats... oh, look a THREE

Starting number: 7

Add 7: 14

Add 6: 20

Divide by 2: 10

Subtract 7: 3

The wording is just poorly phrased.

1. -6

2. Dammit! Morgan stole my six ones that I didn't have!

3. Now it's zero.

4. 0/2 is zero.

5. Now it's either 6 or -6. I don't know, I can't math. Either way, it's not three.

6. DAMMIT, YOU LIED!

1. √2

2. √2 + √2 = 2√2

3. 2√2 + 6 = 2√2 + 6

4. (2√2 + 6) ÷ 2 = √2 + 3

5. √2 + 3 - √2 = 3

6. Yep. 3 is still 3 ; )

__best__" - not required. 42 bitch. "One digit is best digit" = "North Korea is best Korea"

Communist dogs!

Here's another one, guys.

Pick a number, add 2, multiply by 3 subtract 6, and divide by 3. You get the same number as you picked.

(((X+2)3)-6)%3

Simplified slightly: 3X+6-6%3

(%=division sign, X=chosen number.)

Same general thing as my post below.

i, 2i, 2i+6, i+3, 3.

Even works with most imaginary numbers.

Infinity, infinity, infinity, infinity, infinity.

(2X+6)%2-X

The divide by two makes it X+3, minus X, leaves only three each time no matter what the number is. I'm pretty sure this stuff is common knowledge and I don't see why you're making a thread about it.

(%=division sign, X=chosen number.)
