I think this could be useful for things like the commander, so it doesn't clutter up the forum games all the time. And then give the specters the link to that specific game. Or for rpgs, they could host it there if they want to so they don't have to worry about other people butting in. Or if you have multiple co-authors for a storygame you're making, you could discuss with all of them at once your ideas for it and how to improve it.

Someone has already suggested the concept. Still, it's a good idea.

It's only been rejected since right now, it's not worth the work to put it into the system.

Really? I must have missed it when I looked through rejected ideas.

Edit: Those seem to all be for just sending a pm to multiple accounts. This is having an active private discussion with multiple people.

Like a conference call, right? When you can have a bunch of people talking to each other over the phone, at the same time.

Yeah. Like that. :)

"Not a major issue, but I think it would be pretty neat if you could PM several users at the same time, with a discussion [PM]thread with more than 2 people (with a person's option to not be included)."  - From the first link, it's pretty much the same idea.

There's also this one below with the same idea.

Well, just because it's been rejected doesn't mean we can't still request it. Maybe, if we keep at it, Alex will be more willing to see it as a useful, meaningful addition to the site. I'm not saying to harrass him, just to show him that we are really interested in the concept.

I know, it's just useful to know why it was rejected and when it was proposed.

It was rejected because Alexp believed that there was an easily accessible off-site means of 3+ person communication, which everyone seems to have yet to discover.

"which everyone seems to have yet to discover." - xD There are many places. Chatango and Facebook are the most obvious. Kiwi IRC is also usable.

What is 'Chatango' or 'Kiwi IRC'? And I'm not old enough for a facebook thing...

I am, but I choose not to use facebook anymore, even for "business" reason.

Chatango is a free chat room, pretty much all there is too it. You invite people to your chat, and there you can have a private chat room. I think we already have a page there, not sure.

Kiwi IRC, i'm not really experienced with this but as stated in the name, it is a free Internet Relay Chat. I believe you can password it so you can invite people with the pass.

Facebook, you can invite people to group PM's. Just lie about your age and you in :p I think the messenger app is the same.

Alternatively, you can use WhatsApp, where I think you can have big private group pm's.

Or there is Skype, private video and chat I think.

Kik, Snapchat and GoogleDocs all have some forms of group chat.
