You know all those old gameboy games (pokemon for example) where some character at the start of the game asks you your name and you type it in, and then get called that for the rest of the game? I think it would be really cool if instead of just having number variables, players could type their name in and get called that by characters for the duration of the game. It would make it much more enjoyable and give the game a more realistic feel. There could also be places where a player may have to answer a question, and instead of having multiple answers, or having an item as knowledge (eg, a secret code that opens a door) a player could remember it and then have to type it in. If this sounds like a good idea (and I think it is, maybe we could use it.

Yep but it is half possible already. Here is what I mean.

Page Text: Choose your Name.

Links:

Bob (Set Var Name Reset 3)
Ben (Set Var Name Reset 2)
Baloni (Set Var Name Reset 1)

Later on in the game:

Oak: Hello %%name=%3%DisplayTxt%Bob%%

Oak: Hello %%name=%2%DisplayTxt%Ben%%

Oak: Hello %%name=%1%DisplayTxt%Baloni%%

Those are just examples. Not actual formula.

I know what you mean, but I think it would be better if they could actually type there name. There are millions of names that exist in the world, and I'm not gonna spend the rest of my life gettin them down.
