Labeling the pages of my game?

I have been having these same issues every time I attempt to start making a new storygame---my tries at labeling the pages only end up confusing me or jumbling together into a mess when I try to make alternating storylines. So I have to ask, what is the best way to label my pages? How do you label yours? What has worked best/most efficiently for you?

Thank you for all your help.

I write down on a piece of paper the names of all my pages. Then I draw lines between them or use numbers to indicate where links go. That way, when I'm editing the pages I can look at the paper to determine the name of the page where I'm supposed to go.

... To be honest, I just name them whatever I feel like naming them that fits with the story or according to the choice you made to get there. I break things up into chapters, yes, but ... I'm able to keep up with everything just fine and my current project has now passed the 700 page mark. =\

I break it up into chapters that have 5-20 pages each, each with a major plot split. By each chapter title, I have a little note, like "MP1S1, Fpg;8" - Main Path 1 Section 1,  Finished pages; 8. And then I have lots and lots of chapters.

For pages, I put little notes in the title of the page. Such as, (memories), (memories 2), (conversation), (Unfinished/no links), (Focus switch) - those are the basic tags I put on the title, just as little notes to myself. They're all going to be deleted before I publish it of course.
