i was thinking about the CYS Newspaper and how much easier it would have been if interviewers and editors and other people could have had a group chat so that they could share what they got from their work. This could also be used for a small RP, which I definitely wouldn't mind. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to make this, but I'm sure it can be done and I believe it would help the site in many ways.

You could just make a group chat on another site and send the link to other members via PMs.

I've met people who's parents block like any kind of messaging sites and my parents are similar. When they asked about the site, I said it was for writing stories...this is the only site I can talk to people.

The only way... is to go underground...

Wow. Why exactly do your parents need to block that much? Is it a precaution, or did you or possibly a sibling go to a more inappropriate site (like a porn site).

Precaution

The internet is full of free ways to chat, this has been suggested for CYS before but it's never going to happen. All you obnoxious little shits spam whoever the popular admin of the moment is with your whining and drama, they're busy enough without being required to babysit a chatroom 24/7.

Assuming "group chat" actually just means sending pms to multiple people at once, I'd agree it'd be a good feature.

If you're talking about a chat room then no, I don't see a reason for it.

But I don't anticipate it happening anytime soon because Alex isn't around right now.

Oh, if sending multiple PMs to each other is all they want, then I vote for sending them to BHB. Show of hands, who's for this? @BerkaZerka will be a good and wise mentor, we can trust him with our little darlings.

Seems mass PMs would be abused by trolls. There'd have to be some sort of lock for using it.

Just fucking copypasta them to each person. Doesn't take that long. Also why can't you just use the forum you have? Why would you need to hide what you're talking about from other members of the site? They don't give a rat's ass.
