Heyyy! It's Cinder, y'know, that person you've never heard of? Welp, I was reading the WC games on here and decided that it was about time somebody made one with real choices and quality, so I joined. Only thing is, I'm brand-new and awful at writing, so probably I'll just end up adding to the problem- I have managed to figure out some of the advanced editor so far, but I'm not turning on scripting even to look at it, just the word scares me. X3 Anyhow. I talk a lot and ramble about nothing! Which is WHAT I'M DOING RIGHT NOW!

Okay, I'll stop. Anyways, I just wanted to ask- any tips for a WC game? So far, you can look around camp, collect herbs, grab some fresh-kill, learn a battle move from an apprentice, and listen to an elder's story. 'Cept then a tree falls on the elder's den. X3 I'm planning the addition of a medicine cat den- lots of mischief there. Just imagine the text:

Do you look at the: Red berries, Black seeds, or the Delicious-smelling green leaves?

As if kits need catnip. They're crazy 'nuff already. WHY AM I STILL TALKINGGGGGGGGGG I TALK TOO MUCHHHHHHHH HELPPPP I'M A NOOB. Okay. I'm done now. Yeah. Bye. Thanks for having this amazing website that looks amazing and is amazing and will be more amazing when I stop typing and explore it!

Sory to rain on your parade buddy, but it seems that all Warrior Cats related stories are on hold.

But, anyways.. I enjoy your humor and hope you enjoy the website as much as we do.

Unfortunately, WC is banned. Blame the rest of your kind that destroyed the reputation of those felines here. Nothing wrong with WC itself, just the community that didn't bother to proofread their stories.

It may or may not be possible to get special permission if a WC story is good enough, I'm not sure what the ruling was on that.

Cinderblaze, when you posted this I went to have a look at the story so I could at least give you some feedback, but it looked like you'd already deleted it? The link isn't working, anyway.

But yeah, 99% of the WC fic was pretty dire, and we were getting flooded with it. When were you actually reading them? They've been gone for months now.

'Animal perspective' stories are still perfectly fine though, even for cats, as long as it doesn't borrow too heavily or obviously from the setting.

Oh, darn. I guess I'll have to go with something else instead XD thanks for telling me before I published! And I didn't delete it, I just have previews off, ha. X3 Should I contact a mod and ask about my game or abandon it and write a non-warriors game instead?

 

Edit: I found this website a while ago and read a WC story, but I only rediscovered it and made an account this week.

If your game has absolutely flawless English conventions, has the most exciting plot ever created in a WC storygame and has options that actually contribute to the story, then your game might be an exception.

WC is banned. No ands, ifs or buts. But if you meet the qualifications above I suggest asking a moderator and linking to your story (have sneak preview on).

If you want to keep the game unpublished and just work on it as your personal non-published project, that's fine. The ban only bans published WC storygames.

I'm a bit baffled by this post due to multiple reasons (one of them, Mizal mentioned) but nevertheless, Derp is correct: Warrior Cats fanfiction has been banned from this site due to the behavior of the community and the detrimental effect that the fan fictions themselves had on our website. If you'd like to try to appeal to JJJ-thebanisher (the admin who ultimately put that policy into place) you're welcome to try, but I haven't seen him in months. Sethaniel and BerkaZerka are around if you have further inquiries.

That said, if you would like to try to make an animal perspective games, those are not banned. It is merely the fandom itself, not games about animals as a whole. On the other hand, you could also make a game about people... or aliens... or sentient mold ... or literally anything else that isn't WC provided it doesn't suck and isn't X-rated.

Most folks here would be delighted to give you writing advice and you should check out the help and info section articles if you haven't already. I've written a few for beginners, myself.

 

I think he's been busy with school stuff and has just been popping in quick and hopping offline again. I see his name on the online members list occasionally.

Ohhh, lol. Sorry. I thought you were explaining how this person knew about the WC fanfics and their content, because of me saying I was confused by that like Mizal. (I was about to edit to add that, you see enough WC names, they do all start to blur together...) 

That makes a lot more sense now, but I thought 3J was done with school. Then again, I've had less than 5 hours of sleep. I can't exactly say my memory is trustworthy atm. (Damn insomnia.)

They certainly do meld together. The only ones I distinctly remember are mousepaw and... no just mousepaw.

It does feel like he's been in school forever. I thought he posted something in December about more school? A second degree maybe? But maybe not, I could be wrong on that front. But he was definitely on earlier in the past week. Let's see... profile says February 9th.

Anyway, hello new guy.

In my case, it was Bluefur because she made a point of talking to me and Rosetail because I made a point of talking to her. I forgot about mousepaw entirely, but I vaguely remember her complaining a lot about ... things? I didn't pay much attention.

Ah, makes sense. He promised me months ago that he was going to get around to ironing out all the story standards soon, which I really wanted to know about, partly because people keep coming to me with questions or requests for story advice, exc. (Likely because I encourage it...) Anyway, hopefully he'll have time again soon. Thank you for the info.
