Hey guys, I'm scout. I just joined (duh) because I want to improve my writing skills when it comes to CYOA type deals. I'm not too great when it comes to planning, so I decided to work on it here. 

Anyway, it's nice to be here, and if anyone wants to talk, that would be great.

Any particular genre you like to write or read?

And you definitely do need to learn some kind of planning system when it comes to CYOAs. It's like planning a regular story but gets exponentially more complicated the further you branch out. Usually we recommend starting with a smaller story while you get the hang of the editor, and reading a few of the bigger featured stories just to get an idea of what's possible and the quality level readers are looking for.

I like reading most genres, but I tend to avoid anything that focuses heavily on romance. 

Welcome to the site. Be sure to check out the forums, especially in the writing area, to see what others have to say about planning. There's lots of different ways to do things with CYOAs.
