Step 1: Go to the forum games section
Step 2: Think up an ultr-cool-l33t game that everyone wants to play.
Step 3: Near the top right of the screen there is a button to post a new thread- click it
Step 4: Make the subject box the title of your game plus the words 'sign up thread'
Step 5: Make the first post about the game and how it will work
Step 6: watch the replies roll in and accept the numerous cries of "OMG I MUST PLAY!"
Step 7: Create a second thread with just the game name as the title and begin.
There is also an additional secret step that only the evil and those expecting to be banned must use:
evil step: Go into all the other threads there and spam endlessly until your game is the only playable option left on the site to ensure a full player base.
Joining a game
Step 1: Go into the forum games section
Step 2: Look for threads in the top 30ish that have 'sign up' or 'info' etc in the title and click on them to read them.
Step 3: Once you have found a game that you want to join, check what it asks for. Some ask for a character sheet to be posted, some ask you to Pm the person hosting the game- To post a char sheet simply copy and past the example they provide and change it to your created chars info then post it in the thread where they ask. To pm the host click on their name then click send message on their profile screen (bottom right area of their profile.)
Step 4: Wait to be accepted to the game. Often you will be told yes, sometimes you will be asked to make changes and sometimes you will be told no for various reasons like the game its full etc, don't be disheartened and keep trying.
Step 5: Once the game begins read all the info the host provides and possibly check out our 'how to role-play' thread if it is a role-play type game. Then PLAY!
The added evil step that will get you kicked out or banned
Evil step: Randomly start posting in a game that has already started or post random stuff that doesn't fit in the game/doesn't make sense.
