You should also read the last apprentice, song of ice and fire, malazan book of the fallen, shogun, ender's game, ender's shadow, the necromancer chronicles, the night angel trilogy, and the black prism (And subsequent books in the series).

Very good series, the ranger's apprentice. Think my favorite will always be book 6 (Siege of macedonia, I think it was called)

I enjoyed book 6 but I think either the first or the 7 hit me the as most enjoyable.

read ice and fire and necromancer series (its the one with josh and Sophie right?) but please do explain the others (except Enders game I know the gist of that)

My pic is of Alucard, a character from the anime/manga series Hellsing, by Tite Kubo.

The rangers apprentice series is not on this site, but it is a series of books about basically a mix of S.W.A.T. and assassins, but stealthier.

They sound awesome. I like those types of books,  sounds deadly. 

Alucard sounds like a familiar name... no.. probably not.

Ah, The Last Apprentice. Now that was a good read. Enjoyed it a lot. Even took to writing like Alice sometimes, I did. Hehehehe

Aside from that I haven't read any of the books you said but I've heard of Enders game

The series is great, and it gets a poop score of 10. Out of 9.

They made a side series based in skandia, 'brotherband'.
