Are there stories that have been unpublished or lost that the community would like brought back? Like snow and The Other World? Technically they can be brought back. Or is it best that they are simply left in the void considering their origins? Let us know.

I think Snow and The Other World have kind of a fraught history and it might be best to leave them in the past. 

I think 3J had a bunch of really well-liked fantasy games that have gone the way of the dodo? 

I kind of have the viewpoint that regardless of the situation, if the author took their stories down, they did so for their own reasons so it would be best to leave them that way.

We actually figured out a way to allow even deleted games to be accessible for awhile when an author nuked all of theirs during some schizo episode a few months ago and then wanted to retrieve them.

But otherwise I'm with End and Malk on this one. Kiel's games are just best left in the void, and if an author intentionally takes theirs down whatever their reasoning I think we should respect that.

The community is not exactly hurting for good games these days anyhow, one of the dilemmas we've had is which games to even feature in categories like Fantasy (and Fantasy 2: Grimdark Boogaloo) when space is limited and there's such fierce competition. This last contest alone turned out four games over 100k in length and a couple of others that realistically would've blown away many of the cherished games of yesteryear. It's been pretty wild witnessing the upswing in quality over time.

I agree there were some great stories (I did like Snow) but it might be best to respect authorial intentions and let them remain in the void if that's what the authors want. There are a lot of great stories being written these days, particularly in response to the writing competitions. :)
