Hello!

I was wondering if people had any story recommendations to read/rate for newbies? To begin, since I don't have lots of free time at this time, I would prefer some shorter-length stories. If not shorter stories, stories that need to be rated also work! (But it may take me a while to get around to reading them :D)

Eternal, Price of Freedom, and These Shackled Souls are good ones to start imo.

How is Eternal a shorter-length story? And the others? Otherwise I agree.

There's actually currently a reading contest going on with plenty of well written stories that could use some ratings & reviews! Here is the article! Some shorter storygames from the list I recommend are, GOL' BURGER, Slay the Dragon, Those ever Grinding Teeth, and Don't Get Distracted! When you get the time you should definitely read the more popular stories like Eternal and The Price of Freedom as well.

Constellaris Court was made by Mystic, who also made These Shackled Souls. Both of them are great to play, and I would highly recommend them. There is also As Ink, which is shorter but still good, and was made by Sherbert. I'm currently playing through Shadow of a God-King as well, by Fluxion, which has been a really good story so far.

Those would have been on my list as well, but I was doubting that they would meet the criterium "shorter-length" stories.

Seems nobody is reading that far into the OP.

I was just going to make a joke about Eternal being good but a bit too short, but I couldn't come up with any comparison that would make the joke work. I mean it is not actually so short, even when compared to war and peace.

I tried reading As Ink, haha, it looks SO amazing from what I've read, but I'm waiting until I get more free time :]

I'm still making major edits to Shadow of a God-King. Laziness is powerful though, so it's taken me about two months to write four pages on a side-quest (where you go on a city festival adventure). I'm almost done though. Perhaps before January I'll have it done. January of 2027.

And when I'm finally done with that, I'll probably completely revamp the return to the pyramid sequence (spoilers!), because making it voluntary, to me, makes little sense. No one would return to that. But who knows, maybe I'm too lazy.

Then the last thing I'll do is finish the variable mini-game I had planned for the final scene. Anyway, this post should be long enough to push down the italics on the main page ;).

I am adding more storylines to Rainbow one. I figured it would be a good game if it had a few more endings ;)
