For English Project: French Revolution Era Prisons vs Modern Prisons

Prisons will be a recurring subject and setting in the book A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. Characters will be in prison and the French Revolution will start because the unfairness and harshness of these prisons. People might start escaping prison during the French Revolution. People will be kept in prison before being taken to the guillotine. Modern prisons in today's time were not as horrible and disgusting as prisons back then. You can imagine the daily torture the prisoners had to go through, not to mention the terrible sanitation and starvation.
