Another Sherbet story, another S tier experience

Loved it, loved the concept of it - I was wondering what it was in reference to when I first started reading it and I only guessed wrong twice until I finally understood it, I had to go back and go through every ending cause I was so invested. The story is also good enough as a concept to not need a billion pages and paths, it works perfectly well as a short story that leaves plenty to the imagination. Even being short, it managed to tell a great story and pull you into this cursed world really quickly.

I did not expect that to be honest but I actually really liked it. Very dark but really good writing and an interesting concept.

This is a really disturbing storygame...

I've always believed that people who create (writers, artists, etc.) share a piece of themselves whenever they share something they've created with others...and this storygame actually did a really good job of showing that, provoking an almost visceral reaction in me as a reader.

When I originally realised what was going on in the storygame, I assumed (wrongly) that the player character's flesh would grow back. The fact that it didn't added something almost horrifying to this storygame. It's one that will definitely stay with me for a long time after finishing it. Considering the length of time for the contest, I think this was definitely a unique idea, and it was...well, I hesitate to say fun, but it was definitely good to find all of the different endings, as well as to learn more about the player character based on what those who consumed their flesh learned of them.

Oh...and the consumers never satisfied? That's particularly true to life too.

This is very beautifully, artfully done, and a delightfully visceral metaphor about things an artist going into business with their performance must do to survive themselves, survive their own passions and the appetites of their audience. Unfortunately, I also know for a fact that, outside the metaphor, this exact thing with this exact reasoning is someone's fetish. I'm accusing no one of anything, there's no way Sherbet could have known. But I say the unintentional implications add even more to the exquisite sense of unease Sherbet cultivated with his intentional implications, and this heightens the suspense of the work.

I liked it! The concept was unique. I didn’t understand what was happening on the first page, but once I figured out you were using the imagery of yanking off pieces of your body and feeding it to absolute creatures as a metaphor for fame, it clicked!
