Springberry Morning

This is a very cute game with a fun little idea for a children’s story. I get the idea that this really is a lovely little society. Unfortunately, the game was very repetitious. Picking a random bush 20 times in a row got a bit old. I honestly think that just shortening the berry picking would have made the game more enjoyable. Other than that, I really liked it. I was kind of dumb and took the witch’s offer the first time so I lost quite a few berries. It was kind of a sneaky way to teach kids the value of math! Overall, nice writing and nice descriptions of the fun little festival. I gave it a 5/8.

I don't know what rating I should give here. I recognize the great coding work and the merit it has to do all this with hard limit constraints. And I am certainly not the target audience for this. But I found it linear and boring having to grind bushes over and over.

Still, this can be the base for a bigger project in the future so please don't feel like you did a bad job, you did a good job. It is as a game I don't find it fun

Very cute and wholesome. Not a whole lot of substance in the story part, and the two endings I got were a bit similar, but...well I have seen the Herculean scripting efforts at work behind the scenes here and they're the sort that would make lesser mortals flee. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use items this way. So I may be giving you a higher rating than this deserves just based on that alone. I'll call it a future investment towards all those other scripty games you said you're going to make.

Please don't feel like you're constrained by the jam's word count in the future. Participation is completely optional and if you have an idea just go with it, don't start cutting things to fit.

Anyway, I'm not sure if it's a bug or not but you may want to nerf the unicorn. I went from three pails to winning in three turns...is the luck blessing supposed to repeat that way?
