I figured there was enough WEEABOO NERDS here that one of you would be able to know what I'm talking about. I thought of these games earlier today and realized that I absolutely cannot remember their names and therefore I probably won't ever find or play them again. Which is a shame, because I seem to remember them being interesting.
Here's Thing 1. I remember this one having a TVTropes page, so the cult following is probably much bigger and it's probably the "Easy Mode" of this thread. So if you find it, I'll give you maybe a pat on the back or something. The game is about a post-apocalypse where reality has imploded and everyone's turned into Silent Hill Monsters based on things they like or want. You're tasked with climbing to the top of an ominous Roguelike Tower in order to SAVE GOD HIMSELF and someone gives you a giant gun that shoots babies that are "made of pain" in order to do that. It came out on the PS2, but I think it was a remake or something.
Here's thing 2. I remember even less about this game and never went to its TVTropes page, so this is the "Hard Mode". If you get this one, I'll give you 3 free compliments and/or the privilege of duelling me. In this game, you play as a sort of officer for the Ghost Police. Or, at least I figured he was with the Ghost Police because he had like a police hat and a little uniform and fought demons all the time. There was some sort of process you could do where you caught the demons so they'd join your party, and there was like a big deal in the game where you could combine two or more demons in order to make them bigger, fightier, different demons. You go around in this spooky/grimy old Japanese city just doing this and there's a very weird convoluted plot that I never really got into, but it was still like a Turn-Based JRPG thing that was kinda fun.
