Don't worry, we know it's probably not actually what you look like. Most people don't have metallic wing-things (excuse my lack of proper terminology) growing out of their heads, for one. However, on CYS, your profile picture is effectively "you"; at least, it is to all of us. My "portrait" of Mystic is also not a portrait of her real self, as the only thing I know about how she'd look is that she's Asian, and the drawing is decidedly not that. It's a drawing based on her profile pictures over the years, since that's how "Mystic Warrior" looks, even though the real person behind the user most likely looks nothing like that.
We've labelled every profile picture used as a "self-portrait", "artist rendition" or even a "photograph" of the user, fully aware that in the real world you all look much different. The Gazette exists purely in CYStia, though, and in CYStia your profile picture depicts you, much like how your username is used as your name— as is mine, and Milton's, and anyone else who appears in the paper's.
That said, if you would rather the tag say "Rendition of CavusRex's character for a current WIP" or some similar thing, that can be arranged (when Milton is online again). :)
Thanks for reading and glad you're enjoying these issues! They're a pleasure to put together— more so when we know people read them. Also, thank you for the feedback, and I hope my explanation makes sense! Let us know if you'd like anything changed or have any further questions. :D
