I doubt that it is needed but to quickly debunk many points:
- The people of Iran are too dispersed for their civilization to die and never be brought back.
- Given Trump's history of setting deadlines and then immediately extending them or forgetting about them, a particularly destructive or all-encompassing assault is not going to happen tonight.
- The current regime in Iran is the same regime as before, only now lead by the son of the previous Ayatolla. According to various profiles I have seen of him, while different is objectively true and smarter is always subjective, he is certainly not less radicalized, nor are any of the other Iranian leaders that have released statements.
- Iran is still saying that there are no negotiations happening with the US.
