New story I'm working on, so far the progress on this one has been going nicely and hopefully it stays that way. I'd say it's probably about 20% complete so far. (Two chapters completed on one of the main story branches)

As usual this will be story heavy with some of the usual "historical links" added as well as the passing of several decades, but three main paths are planned based on the "first choice" alone. Each of these paths will be divided into their own chapters, so basically three completely separate stories, with multiple epilogues. I say perhaps even more than three epilogues due to the major branches possibly splitting off into other major storylines of their own. I'll have to see how it starts working out as I go though, so far the one branch I'm working on is splitting again into three separate stories so it's looking possible.

I'm thinking it should be pretty sizable in terms of writing and pages as well, if all goes accordingly, Ground Zero size or around there. I'll slap the serious and war tags on this one as well as the highest maturity rating possible due to the violence because oh boy there's going to be a lot of it.

Is it Christmas? 3J thinks so.

Eternal

Oooo... this sounds great! You're stories are always awesome.

Eternal

Epic! Can't wait to read it.

Eternal

I'm assuming there's no variables involed here, so just out of curiousity why not make three separate storygames?

Eternal

Because storygames with multiple story lines are awesome!

Eternal

You might as well ask why didn't I make something like Ground Zero into 5 separate stories. I didn't for several reasons, but the main reason being it's all the same story (Nuclear Holocaust) just with a major split into different major story-line paths based on the first few choices you make.

This one as I said has three major story branches, but the beginning is starting out the same, namely with the protagonist's birth. The split comes pretty early with the first "choice" the character has, after that first major choice you get locked into a major story-line branch though of course there's still branching after that. The reason why I'm dividing into "chapters" is mainly because I'm trying to keep things organized right now as I'm writing it and don't get off track, though I might keep the chapter dividers in for the final project.

One of the other things I've figured out is how to keep the timeline/chronology tracking a lot easier this time. It's such a simple concept, I don't know why I didn't think of it before.

Basically giving a specific age to the protagonist at the top of the text (By stating "Year 0", "Year 5", "Year 12", etc) makes it much easier for me to keep track as I'm writing rather than having to go back and scroll through loads of text where in the past I might've written something like "4 years have passed since..." whenever there's a major acceleration of time.

Anyway there is still a lot to write, as I've said I've only completed 2 full chapters of the 1st major storybranch, which together encompasses about the first 35 years of the protagonist's life and the third chapter is looking like it will definitely split into 3 further main branches each of which will probably encompass around years 36 to 75. (Though maybe not, after all major branch or not, you still might die sooner in others)

After those are finished then I'll have to work on the other two major branches which will be two more "full life times" to write. Not to mention all the little historical footnotes, background, etc. that I'll need to do to fill in extra information.

Eternal

Ohhhh, I get you. I misunderstood, I thought you meant the three choices were all different characters, similar to Death Song and Necromancer taking place in the same world but the protagonists not being the same guy.

That makes sense.

Eternal

Are you going to be posting this on CYS as well? It sounds incredible. I'm going to want to read every page of every branch.

Eternal

Oh this will definitely be posted on here when it is completed. I'll be posting Innkeeper on here too at some point (probably with some minor fixes). Either before or around the same time.

Eternal

People here will love Innkeeper. What about Legend? xD

Eternal

Yeah I'll get right on copy & pasting all 1,313 pages of it! Lol.

If I actually posted Legend on here in its current form, I'd probably want to take advantage of the tools on here to make it more like the "story-game" it was designed to be. Of course this would probably require a lot of reworking and lot of time.

However, Legend is one those stories I'd really rather redo completely anyway. I know it's got a lot of hits and highly rated at IS, but actually I think other than the rogue path branch, it isn't one of the better stories I've done.

"Rogue" is the remake I've always had an idea about doing for it. This would mainly involve a lot of tightening up of the story aspect. The different adventurer branches would be there still, but just rogue specialized, so instead of warrior, wizard, priest, etc. You'd have stuff like assassin, bard, thief, etc. Actually got a lot of notes written down on what I'd like to do with it, so who knows maybe one day.

If anything I'd probably post the remake on here first since I already got Legend at IS.

Eternal

Out of curiosity, are you using the classic or the advanced to copy your stories over? I know you aren't using advanced features, but are you using the advanced editor for it's gooie?

Eternal

All of my stories on here were posted using the classic editor since I always thought the advanced editor could only be used if you were implementing the advanced features on the story. Since my stories didn't have any variables or anything like that, I thought I sort of had to use the classic editor. I didn't have too many problems with it, though it took a while to update branch links. Even this normally wasn't a big deal unless I was looping back to rooms or something similar, then sometimes I'd have to log out and then log back out to get them to update.

Wasn't until sometime after I posted my last story on here, that I found out I could've been using the advanced editor the whole time.

Eternal

I believe I tried to tell you and DEP that when you first showed up but I probably wasn't clear and I remember being blasted for trying to co-opt your pure writing. hehe.

Yeah, you can disable variables and scripting entirely from the game properties page and you'll find it immeasurably easier to work with. Trust me. I wouldn't be writing here if I had to use the classic editor.

Eternal

Wow all this just sounds awsome! i cant wait to see it!

Eternal

Real life crap getting in the way and set backs as usual, but I soldier on.

One major epilogue finished so far and 144 pages of writing done. Chapter 3 of that major branch still isn't complete as now I have to go back and do the other sub branch paths and epilogues as well as the failed paths, before I can move on to the next two major branches.

Anyway I guess around 30% complete? One thing I keep bumping into is writing more than I expected, so I'm never quite certain to as how close I am to finishing up the entire story! Still, I feel determined to finish this story as I refuse to focus on any other writing until it's done.

Eternal

One sub-branch completed, another epilogue finished as well. 168 pages of writing so far. 35-40% complete maybe? Anyway I'm really glad to be done with this one since I kept getting distracted from finishing it.

Getting ready to start on the next two sub-branches. I'm wondering if these will turn out as long as the other one, I didn't really anticipate it to be as long as it was, but it's good though, as I feel like I have provided more than several paths to choose from.

Eternal

I'm so pumped for this.

Eternal

Any updates EndMaster? I'm totally pumped too now.

Eternal

Lol I just gave an update.

Seriously, this thing is going to take a while, besides it being really long, I also can't type 125 words per minute like JJJ unfortunately. Besides real life stuff getting in the way, like I said the story-lines are turning out longer than I thought. For example I was planning to have "Year 75" to be kind of the ending date for the "full paths" well that's now been extended to "Year 101" in some cases.

I typically save updates for when I finish up major chunks of writing like completing entire branches, epilogues, etc.

But if you want a very minor update, I've already started one of the sub-branches and written about 5 pages so far for it and I'm going to try to do a little writing tonight.

One thing I'm probably going to put on the first page is to emphasize that the protagonist is NOT a good guy. At best he might be morally dark gray. I've gotten complaints in other stories about not wanting to play a "sick maniac who kills everyone" so there should be no excuses. (Though I fully expect people to ignore the warnings and complain anyway!)

Eternal

ya, ive noticed people doing that, even myself. you could make one branch be a good guy branch, but i have no room to tell you what would be good.

Eternal

Honestly, Endmaster's writing wouldn't be on par if he did write about good guys in lolly candy land with flying pink unicorns and such. No, I prefer EndMaster when he is honest with himself and just write whatever he wants without giving crap about what a few goodie two-shoes think he should have done instead. It isn't their writing, and if they actually look at EndMaster's previous storygames or his profile, that is if they check, they'll be able to tell that if they're THAT righteous, they shouldn't be reading it much less complain about it in comments or PM.

Yes, bring the horror Master End, the deaths, the realism.

Eternal

i agree Erudite, i bet he could make a realy good dark hero like roarshack from the Watchmen.

Eternal

Ya, I'm doing that to the character I'm currently using, although even I do add a few "good" paths that are really still gray just good in comparison. You are an extremely gifted writer and I am starting to figure out that a few of your stories are influencing mine without me realizing it, I'm trying to make it as original as possible though.

Eternal

is there going to be gore?

Eternal

i would be willing to bet... :|

Eternal

Like there's any other choice? Lol.

It'll vary though, sometimes you'll get a graphic description, sometimes it'll just be a brief "You chop his head off" descriptor.

Either way it's a fantasy setting with a lot of war and battles going on, so there's still a lot of violence in there.

Eternal

Finally got through another epilogue. Was sort of wondering how it was going to go there for a moment, but I think it's a good one. I've found that it's also better if I don't strictly adhere to a specific timeline for every path as it gives more freedom to fit in other possibilities. Though certain "events" will still happen in major cases.

Still need to go back and finish up the rest of the branches for this path. I think this particular sub-path will end up being slightly more linear, but then again, I though that with the last one and it didn't happen that way.

Eternal

status update?

Eternal

Been a little busy lately, but I am finishing up the current sub-branch I was working on last update (Just a few more paragraphs to write).

One more sub-branch and then one of major story paths will be totally complete and then I get to start on the other two major ones.

Eternal

Try not to rush it. I'd rather wait for an awesome story than go though a rushed one.

Eternal

lol endmaster can rush as much as he wants and the story still be amazing!

Eternal

Oh I don't think I could rush this if I wanted to. If anything these "updates" are more to keep me focused on writing on a regular basis so I don't get too distracted.

212 pages so far. Starting the next sub-branch.

Eternal

Can you tell us a bit about the genre, and if eternal is connected to your other stories at all?

Eternal

No, it's not connected to any of the other stories on here. Originally this concept was a scifi story called "Born for Hell" but I changed it so now it's fantasy based, but there are advances in technology such as medical science, gunpowder based weapons and powerful magic isn't as common.

The story is also a mixture of two other story concepts I had, one called "Invasion" (AKA Rebel) and "Patriot."

The basic premise is you're chosen as a baby for the "Eternal" project which is essentially a fantasy based "super soldier" program for the Empire. The Empire has been around for a few centuries, but it's currently on the decline. It's corrupt, outdated in some ways and bogged down by red tape. It's also resorting to desperate measures to maintain order and stability as well still keeping up this facade that nothing is wrong and it's still at the top of it's game.

You of course are being raised (along with several others) with this "perfect ideal" of what the Empire is all about as well as to help ensure its continued existence.

Whether you actually achieve that or not depends on what you do.

Eternal

i love it already :). how rare is majic? like people see it one in a lifetime or every other year? will there be majic items? how many species will there be? hopefully they wont all be humanoid i.e. elves, dwarves, ect. i have so many other questions but these are the ones that bug me the most.

Eternal

i dont know why im so bother by this but, magic, maGic. anyways sorry.

Eternal

The following is stuff you are probably going to learn within the first couple pages so this isn't really giving anything major away.

The Empire has battle mages and access to golems but they're reserved for heavy fighting. The process which creates "Eternals" involves a mixture of magic and science. Magic isn't really used to "help" the average citizen though, the Empire mostly uses it for war or other paths of destruction. So in that regard it's not a common thing, plus not that many people have the talent or even the access to learn it.

There's a "secret police" branch in the Empire called the Shadow Guard in which all their members use varying degrees of their own shadow magic.

Magic is also the reason why the Empire isn't as technologically advanced as it could be in the weapon department, as opposed to the Felkan Kingdom which is the only other major power in the region and doesn't use magic at all.

There may be other examples of magic, but I haven't decided or haven't written it yet.

As for races there are several, though humans are still the most common and on top more or less. There are some traditional races like orcs and elves (The Sveld), but it's definitely a "Roman Empire" thing going on where most of them got conquered a long time ago and now they're mostly in a servant role. (Like a lot of orcs are used as soldiers for heavy fighting as well)

There are a few different races as well or at least slightly different takes on them. Dark Elves (The Svelk) for example are the "original race" of elves (The others are offshoots) and they're pretty much a race of nomadic mercenaries who the Empire primarily hires due to troop shortages.

While all of these races may only pop up in certain branches and maybe only briefly, here is a list of which ones have been included so far:

Kobolds
The Usksha
Barbarian Werepeople, (Wolves, Bears, etc)
Ogres
Giants
The Wendigos
Auravraxes
Trolls
Gnomes
Gnolls
Wyverns

There probably will be others, and I already have an idea for another "traditional" race, but I'm going to change them slightly. (Well perhaps not too much, but they won't be the common type you see all the time)

Eternal

Can't wait for Eternal. You would'nt happen to have any other masterpieces that are'nt on chooseyourstory.com or infinitestory.com, would you?

Weird, I'm not getting the option to reply to my first post. Anyway...

Another epilogue finished! That sub-branch took me a bit of time, but I like how it turned out.

Still need to go back and finish up all the rest of the paths on it, might add another epilogue to this sub-branch too, but I'm pleased that I managed to get one done at least since it's a step closer to bringing the entire main branch to completion.

Eternal

Yeah, after enough weeks, it disables. It shouldn't imo, they should all disable at the same time.

Eternal

Sorry for annoying you, but could you happen to gimme an update? I'm dying to read eternal.

Eternal

It's not annoying me, I know it's been a while since the last update. I thought about doing one yesterday.

Right now I'm trying to finish up one of the major branches. I'm working on the last of it's sub-branches and it's slow going right now since I'm trying not to come up with so much "cut and paste" outcomes even though only a few minor choices are changing events. I'm thinking I might put in one more epilogue for it, not sure yet.

I've got 4 loose ends on it as of right now. I'm hoping to get those finished at least sometime before the end of the month. Then I can move on to the next two major branches.

Eternal

This seems like it will truly be the best game on the site. I can see it being featured almost imminently after you post it.

Eternal

Can't wait for another of Endmasters' masterpieces.

Eternal

Where are your other stories posted?

Eternal

What other stories? You mean the ones on Infinite Story?

Go to my profile and I got links on it to two of them that I don't have on here. One is too damn long for me to bother to copy over and the other one probably wouldn't be allowed on here.

There's a third story too, but I'm probably going to transfer that one over at some point.

Eternal

EndMaster! do you have any updates for us?

Eternal

Yeah I'm nearly done with one of the main branches. Probably about 2 to 5 more entries for it. I hope to get that done by this sunday. I'm also going to add a few "background" pages as well to what I do have, hopefully that won't take too long though.

After all that it'll be around 300-310 pages total , 3 chapters (The last one splitting into 3 separate branches, so technically there's 3 "chapter 3s") 5 epilogues and that's without the other two major branches even written yet.

After that, I'm pondering what to do next. Quite frankly this story has A LOT more writing to go before it is finished. If I didn't have to work and all those other annoying things that go with real life, I'd probably be a lot farther than I am right now. However, I'm predicting it won't be finished until the end of the year at best.

So if people really just can't wait to read it, I can post all of what I do have sometime after the contest here. Probably in august or september sometime, I'll probably go ahead and post Innkeeper as well around that time.

As for the other two major branches, one I'm thinking might not be as long. Not sure yet, but it any case it will definitely be simpler than the one I just wrote. The other branch will at least be as long the first one, maybe even longer. Again, not sure yet.

Eternal

I have no clue why but for some reason I was under the impression that this was going to be a submission for the contest and I had given up hope on winning already. So glad to find out this isn't the case haha. This is looking really interesting. Good luck with finishing it.

Eternal

Yeah way too damn big to submit for a contest even unfinished, plus I started Eternal before the contest so it wouldn't have been eligible anyway.

I did entertain using one of my unwritten story ideas as a possible entry for the CYS contest, but it wouldn't have really fit the high fantasy/sword and sorcery category and it would've required a lot of work on its own.

Eternal

& IS might get jealous since you aren't participating in that contest.

Eternal

Ok, what is IS anyway? Why do I feel like I am out of the loop?

Eternal

Same question here. Cool, you're not alone.

Eternal

IS= Infinite Story

There are links to that hive of villainy in my profile.

Eternal

Take your time, i want it to be as good as possible.

Eternal

Honestly, I don't think he needs any advice, haha.

Eternal

just letting him know i wasnt trying to rush him, and wont.

Eternal

Well slightly later than sunday, but I had a couple of extra additions.

One major branch is complete. 300 pages even so far. I'd going to go ahead and guess around 50% complete.

Next step, complete all the little extra background links for the major branch I just finished. I actually cut down on some of those as I found I don't really need as many this time since I try to explain most things in the main story, however there are a few bits that still might need that extra attention. That and the fact that I'm doing it so in most cases you don't get the entire story about things unless you play through different branches. This will especially be true concerning the major story branches.

Eternal

it sounds like this could potentionally be the biggest story on the site.

Eternal

Yes it does but the biggest one is 800 pages so maybe it could get close.

Eternal

Only 800? I would have thought it was much much more.

Eternal

Nope according to JJJ the longest storygame is The cave written by 2 of the most random writers on this site JDog an Deven11.

Eternal

Then I'm pretty sure I'll beat that, as I'm up to 400+ and I haven't even finished a 1/25 of the story.

Eternal

Good lord, play testing that game is going to take forever!

Eternal

It's the story where you have 12 characters, I actually consider each character's story to be an individual game, I just have to pack them into the same story because of variables. I think I've explained why to you ugilick.

Eternal

Well I certainly am going for GZ size, but remember it might sound larger than it actually is since I'm using the term "page" quite literally as a page on my Word document. So while there is 300 full pages of writing, there aren't 300 entries.

For example GZ has about 315 pages worth of writing, but there are only about 196 entries in the story total. As you probably know I have a tendency to write some long sections so typically I try to cut off entries at the 4 page mark, otherwise it just gets way too long. In any event, it's still a lot of reading. (And writing!)

While there are 5 epilogues so far (more to come!), I should point out that doesn't necessarily mean all the rest of the endings are bad, but they just aren't as impressive in the scheme of things. Getting an epilogue typically means you made so much of an impact on the world that you're still remembered on a meaningful level long after you're dead. Basically the same concept as the GZ epilogues in that regard.

Eternal

I liked the GZ epilogues but You missed one storyline that irks a lot of people. I am sure you know what it is to.

Eternal

Leaving the experimental shelter to go find Becky I assume, though there was a purpose for doing it that way.

Each path was semi-self contained and straying too much from it caused a premature ending. So for example, if you picked either of the shelters in the beginning and then left them for whatever reason the story ended with an unknown fate of your character. (Usually at least. Sometimes I mention you got horribly killed) There are a couple of similar instances with leaving Zeropolis as well.

You probably get the most sense of "freedom" in the militia compound path and the "Scourge of the wasteland" path (which also doesn't have an epilogue for a reason) since in both of those, you're doing a lot more traveling rather than sticking to one place.

Eternal

Well I thought how you ended scourge was fine. It was Becky's path that frustrated me.

Eternal

Me too. Becky's path was awesome and cut horribly short. Not that I don't understand your reasoning for it. But it made me sad because I wanted to find her and live happily ever after.

Eternal

See it's always kind of interesting to me, to find out what storyline/plot/branch people liked.

For me, I never really thought all that much about the Becky (AKA Hacking War) storyline. I just sort of added it in so the experimental shelter path wouldn't be as linear, since there isn't too much action/drama otherwise. Never really thought that many would get into that path that much, but it always goes to show never know what people are going to enjoy. I remember one comment I got was how someone really liked the shelter story lines, but thought the life on the outside ones were boring.

Anyway, good thing I just made the character's fate a mystery, I might've really upset some people if I ended it by writing he got lost and then killed by some raiders on the way to find her.

Eternal

Yeah that probably would not have gone over well.

Eternal

I actually didn't like the becky storyline so much, compared to outside life and the community shelters, I thought it was pretty boring.

Eternal

Just curious, how in the world do you get the motivation to type up such a large story like ground zero?

Eternal

Ide say self discipline, but i cant speak for endmaster.

Eternal

I can't speak for endmaster, but I would say that it was a mixture of a common idea like nuclear apocolypse combined with natural skill and hard work.

Eternal

Just to get back on track with this thread.

Chapter 1 of the second major storyline has been completed. Moving on to to the second chapter now.

Eternal

To joylessbrute:

Combination of several things for Ground Zero...

Mainly I REALLY wanted to do a post apocalyptic story, considering it's one of favorite themes and there weren't any at IS so it was also filling a void. Obviously there was inspiration from various PA movies and video games, most notably Fallout, however NOT Fallout 3 since at the time when I wrote it, the game hadn't come out yet. I wanted to include things like the problems of living out the rest of your life in a bomb shelter as well as flashier stuff like living on the surface and fighting cyborgs/raiders/mutants etc. so I knew I was going to have to split up the different experiences right away. I figured the best way to do it, is start the story BEFORE the bombs drop and how you go about surviving the nukes effects the rest of your path.

Anyway I also really wanted to create a story where time passed. A lot of time, a lifetime. This wasn't really a concept in most of the stories I read at IS either at the time, so again it was something that could fill a void. Now I had planned and attempted this concept with another story called Legend, which wasn't even finished at the time, but I already knew it wasn't going to pan out like I wanted it to, so GZ was basically starting over in that regard. And it worked out a lot better. The epilogue concept came a little later while I was working on the story.

Adding pics, was something I'd never bothered with doing in a story before either, and considering I was doing a lot of new stuff with the story anyway, I figured I'd also try out using pics, which probably took longer or just as long as writing the thing. Scanning the internet for pics that fit the text, resizing/altering them etc. It's just a really time consuming process.

That's about it for that, it's not the biggest story I've written, but it's probably the most "epic" in terms of scope and content. My goal for Eternal is to do the fantasy equivalent, maybe even longer than GZ. I've made two attempts at it so far, but Legend didn't turn out like I originally planned, and Primal is in development hell, so hoping third time's the charm.

Eternal

Completed writing out all the current background info links (extra into/memories/profiles/etc). 18 entries and 20 more pages added to the story total.

With that done I can now really move on to working on the next major story branch. I wasn't sure about this next one, but I've been developing some idea for how it can evolve now so I'm glad I decided to stick with keeping this path in the story. Guess I just needed a little time to think up story-lines for it while I worked on the other stuff.

Eternal

Update?

Eternal

No meaningful update. I've been busy with other real life things.

I began writing one of the other major story paths, but I'm probably going to go back and change what I wrote for it since it isn't working for me.

Eternal

Damn that sucks, i've thought you would have this knack down End.. Maybe doing some copypastin' and other things would save you time since it's basically the same genre you mostly do.

Eternal

What the hell are you talking about? Do you have any idea how long it takes to write an original story of the size Endmaster is suggesting? Of course he isnt going to copu and paste from his old stories if that what you are suggesting, that would be blatently stupid.

Eternal

Lol. Well I'm convinced. I guess that's just what I'll do for the rest of the story, copy and paste bits of past stories!

Anyway, for Uglick and the rest who might be interested, I have been working on the story, I figured out a better opening for the second major branch. I've also been thinking of another potential sub-branch for it. Originally this one was going to be shorter, but it might have a couple of paths now. Still in the early stages though, so we'll see.

I'm pretty sure your stories are the best stories on the site but still.. I'm going to have no say in it because im going to be bashed to hell and back unfortunately.

Well it doesn't even make sense what you're proposing. Are you saying I should just copy/paste ideas from old stories? Because that's like the opposite of what I was going for and it really wouldn't work anyway.

If you're suggesting I should copy/paste certain paths since some will have the same outcome, I'm trying to avoid that as well. Really trying to make most premature endings a little different. True maybe a lot will end in death, but I'm trying to at least make where, when and how the deaths are different. Not all end in death anyway, just obscurity.

Now certain events might happen the same, but depending on what you were doing, its outcome is probably going to be different, so again can't copy/paste too much there either.

In a perfect world, I'd have all the time to work on the story, but hey stuff happens. I already mentioned if something big pops up and I don't think I'm going to be able to finish the whole thing in a reasonable time frame. I'll post the first section in its entirety as a demo on here and add the rest to it later when I have a large stretch of time again.

The first section I already completed is still a sizable story with a lot of paths, choices and 5 official epilogues. That's one more than GZ, so it's already ahead in that regard.

Are you saying this thing is gong to be far larger than ground zero?

Eternal

going*

Eternal

Well looking at the number of pages on Word I have for GZ, it comes out to be about 315 pages worth of writing. Eternal is already about that size (320 I think) and I haven't even finished it yet, so yeah it's going to be bigger.

All of your stories are out of this world. I'm always blown away by the dialogue and characters all of it. Just keep doing what you're doing and take as much as you want. I believe it's summer so you should just enjoy the warm weather while you can, im sure whatever you produce is going to be a masterpeice anyway.

Totally agree.

Just curious, how many pages did Necromancer have?

Eternal

About 166 pages.

Eternal

well it actually has 165 pages. (yes i did go and count them...)

Eternal

I'm starting to understand why it takes long to create a story, the heat is too freakin' annoying too think! I'm almost done with my wrestling one but i want my other two stories too be great... It's not going to be as good as yours but im going to try anyway, maybe it's because im used to creating comic strips. *shrugs*

Eternal

Of course it won't, but always try. Lol, you pulled some major agro by dissing Endmaster like that earlier in the thread, he is one of the best (and probably the most respected) writer on the site. Anywho, it does actually take a long time to write a story as I soon figured out after I started, I just sat down and said "I'm going to write some pages!". Thirty minutes later, I had two pages finished -_-. That was pretty frustrating for a while, but I eventually just went with the flow, some days are simply better than others, you know?

Eternal

That is a good policy to live by.

Eternal

No demo please. I'd rather wait for it to be finished completely than in many different stories.

Eternal

Demos are evil....

Eternal

So is there going to be like a Good, Evil, Neutral endings along with 2 others? (Not including all the death endings and such) That would be quite intresting. So hurry up!

Eternal

Bah, it appeared in the middle of the thread, I'll try again.

Anyway chapter 1 of the second major story branch completed, moving on to chapter 2.

Eternal

Update?

Eternal

Had a feeling you were going to be asking for one soon. I nearly wrote one last night.

Anyway, only a minor update. I completed the history sections for Chapter 1 of the 2nd main story branch. I'm also currently going to add another section choice to it before moving on to chapter 2, since it'll flow better as a chapter one ending, rather than a chapter 2 beginning.

Probably going to be moving to a new state soon, within the next 1 to 3 months (Hence why I wasn't joining any of the new forum games even though they were interesting), so work on this is going to be slower and not many updates for a while.

I'm probably going to transfer what I have already written to the site before I move anyway, so like I said before, if enough people want me to, I can still publish what I do have before I disappear for a while. There's more than enough story written to read as of right now.

Eternal

How long are you disappearing for?

Eternal

I don't know. It probably isn't so much completely disappearing as it is just not having time for long stretches of writing so less updates for a while if anyone is asking for them (mainly Joylessbrute).

Who knows though, maybe I'll find out I have more (or even less) time than I'm anticipating.

Eternal

Sorry, I'm addicted to your writing. I'm gonna ask for an update every 2 weeks or so to curb my addiction.

Eternal

So Endmaster, when do you think you will be done with Eternal? (O_o)

Eternal

Currently in the process of transferring the first major storyline branch on here. Really glad I'm doing this now instead of waiting until I was completely finished with the story. It's a lot of repetitious editing, rereading and copy/pasting.

Eternal

So do you know how you're going to release it, in two parts or in one long story?

Eternal

No, it's being released as one big story. It can't be divided into separate published stories, even if I wanted to do such a thing.

Eternal

Well no rush, just be sure to release it by the beginning of 2012. :)

Eternal

I don't know if we can wait that long, the world might end before then. ;p

Eternal

That's in december 2012, pretty sure that's as far away from the beginning of the year as possible.

Eternal

yeah, but there is an ending sheduled for this october.

Eternal

Eternal

scheduled* -.-

Eternal

problems?

Eternal

Why did it get so quiet?

Eternal

Because Endmaster isn't posting.

And almost forgot, update?

Eternal

Lol. Still busy moving and still currently don't have regular internet access, however I'm checking in real quick.

I finished part of the second major story branch. Actually it turned into a short "4th branch" and I still need to tie up the loose ends of it, but it does have an ending.

Eternal

Is it bad that I now want to go "You're perfect" for some reason? Yes, I know it is.

Eternal

Don't worry, I think the absolute same thing.

Eternal

Got any updates on your story?
