Alright, now I must seem pretty newbie right now, but I need to ask, what are the types of forum games, and how do they work?  I've seen forum games that work on the posts, like the three word game, but there are others and I don't understand them.

Just read through the forum game.

Some forum games are actually what people call role-plays.

So remember that time when you were a little kid and you pretended to be something like...I dunno, a dinosaur or something?

Well, thinking of stepping up from that level and making full-on stories in text form based on that, with power-checks and moderation rules to boot.

I'm actually writing an article about the various things in the Forum Games section. It's not finished, but I've completed many of (if not all of) the terms used and the types of game available.

I'd like credit for bringing the word "Headcrabbing" to CYS. I think they only used "Power Playing" and "bunnying" before that point.

Don't worry about learning everything. If something looks cool, just PM the thread starter, and a/he'll tell you what you need

And just remember to stay in character if it's an RP, and don't power-play/god-mode, which basically means that you can only control your character and nobody else's. I think Morgan and Aman made a thread on how to RP a long time ago?

And then Aman went on to make a tutorial, but then dictated that he couldn't really teach us that much more. XD
