Hey people. I'm pretty new to this site, like within 2 weeks, and I'm just checking to see if my profile picture worked. So um... awkward silence.

Hey there, if you wanted to check, just refresh the page and/or go to your profile page. You probably need to wait for a few moments if it hasn't came up. There was no need for a post xD

Anyhow, I can see it and it is working. It does seem a little stretched though.

It is simply because of the width of the picture. You could resize it using Gimp (Or I could).

I could save your picture, edit it in gimp, send it your way :D

um... i don't want to sound like a newb, but we are in newbie central... now what do i do to make that my profile picture?

The same way you made your current one xD

Go to "My Stuff" (Over to the left), click "Pictures", click "Upload New Picture" (Near the top middle). Once done this, open a new tab and return to this thread, right click the picture I posted, and click save as. Save it somewhere you will remember. Return to your previous tab and click "Choose File", find the picture you saved and choose that, Then click "Upload New Picture" (Be sure to give it a picture title). Once done, go to "Profile",  and under "Avatar Photo", find the pic and click it. Then click "Upload My Account and Profile" at the bottom. I'll provide pics if you don't understand.

To get rid of the squashed look though, you'll need to make the picture more square, I think.
