Hello, and welcome to CYS! Please, wipe your feet at the door and hang your coat on the rack.
Here's a run-down on the basics:
1. Don't publish demos, teasers, trailers, etc. of your storygame as a full game (posting a link to your storygame on the forums is fine). Click here to see why.
2. Try your best to have good English conventions, and a storygame with an actual story. Unless, y'know, it's a simulator or something (but even those have backstories!).
3. We've decided a few months ago that Warrior Cats is no longer allowed on the site, so please refrain from posting any WC storygames until a mod makes an announcement saying otherwise.
4. Speaking of mods, here's a probably outdated list of 'em. If you wish to contact a moderator, I would go for madglee, JJJ-thebanisher, BerkaZerka, or Sethaniel. Alexp, the creator of the site, may not have the time to reply.
5. We won't bite most of the time, so feel free to ask for help on the forums. Of course, there's the growing Help and Info section where there's plenty of articles to read about on certain topics, may it be learning how to script or learning about the forums themselves. You can also submit your own article, and if it's approved by the mods it'll show up there.
6. Enjoy your time here, really. I can go on and on about things to do, but it's best you figure out the rest without my post.
