Once a story is published, can it then be 'unpublished' for repairs/changes?  I mean, let's say I 'finish' a story, publish it, and come up with a brilliant idea to add, or someone mentions something that might make a good addition.

You can, and many unpublish works in order to fix errors pointed out by members of the site.

Awesome.  Thanks for the short and to the point answer. :D

Yes, Aman is very short and his head does in fact come to a point.  angel

Hey, I may be short, but you are a penguin, that's worse then anything.

But there's a mallet, so it makes up for being a penguin. After all, you don't argue with the mallet, no matter who's holding it.

Besides, penguins just have to waddle around all day and they get documentary films made about them, narrated by Morgan Freeman. They don't have a documentary about mustaches narrated by Morgan Freeman... They should make a mustache documentary about mustaches narrated by Morgan Freeman ^_^

He does it a lot it seems lol

From one relative newbie to another you can defiantly un-publish to add things and expect to do so unless you have a proof reader, I was impatient and didn't wait to proof read mine so I had my first story published for about 24 hours, got maybe 5 reviews then pulled it again to fix, spelling, grammar and other minor errors.

This lead to me being annoyed with it. A couple of months on and I have doubled the story in size (page count) added loads to existing branches and added entirely different endings... I will be re-publishing it just as soon as I can write the final branch and trawl through the hundreds of pages to check for mistakes now that I altered it all...

Heh.  Impatience is one of my major flaws. :)  I wish there was a way to let someone look at a work in progress without publishing it and without co-authoring it.  I guess it would be just another sort of setting to click or invite someone to.

If you have the Preview button selected, then anyone can go in and look at your story. Unfortunately, they can also comment and rate it, unless you've taken out the End Game Links beforehand...

I only see the 'sneak' preview, which says it shows it listed, but it's not clickable.  Is there another option I'm missing here?

No that's the one.

If they Enter the HTTP info in their address bar, they can read it.

You can also provide the link yourself to anyone you want to go over it for you.

Ahhhhh, okay.  Thanks. :D  I'll have to keep that in mind for the future if I want to do anything top secret or something. ;)
