As I'm going through the games and commenting, I'm noticing that some of the authors I post on haven't been around for years.  Should I make sure someone is active before commenting, or do general comments help people who are still active?  I mean, I don't know how much people read the comments on the games they play and apply it to their own works.

Also, comments are ways of getting experience (thought I'm really not sure what use XP is), so I hope I'm not cluttering things up by commenting on stories that the author will no longer be looking at.

Comments can still be used by people viewing the game to decide if they want to play it or not. Also, comments don't actually give you XP if I recall correctly. Rating the game is what gives you the XP.
