Author: S.E Hinton.

Where I live this is a curriculum book, about some kids in the bad side of the town and how their gang (the greasers) are always combatting the rich kids from teh other sides gang (the soc's (pronounced soshes)).  I started it off with a grudge (I mean how can a school book eb good) but it was and it surprised me. Anyone else read it?

 

Fun Fact: SE Hinton was only 16 when she wrote it, and she failed English that year.

Also, S.E. Hinton was a girl.

It's an awesome read!  There's also a movie about it.  Wierd thing is though, that it has all these famous actors in it before they were famous.

Anyways, I read it in the past 6 months.
