He's the self-proclaimed most mature teen on the site, Seth. Play nice.

Salt and derailment

I thought that was mason? Oh wait, that's self-proclaimed most intelligent.

Salt and derailment

That was a word from my redneck grandfather.

Edit: Wow, you guys will never let that go will ya. XD

Salt and derailment

It's probably because we all fucking hate you and want you to leave.

Salt and derailment

Meh. I dont care about the hate on me. I not one of those people who cry about insults.

Edit: Regardless though, that is my opinion.

Salt and derailment

Brushing off unwarranted hate is great and all, but we want you off the site because you're irritating and won't learn proper thread etiquette.

Salt and derailment

*Sigh* Well, I try to use thread etiquette, but that sucks for you! I am staying regardless of what you say.

Salt and derailment

That a boy Jimmy, you are learning something from school. Don't worry about what other people think about you. In my opinion that's something good to learn.

Salt and derailment

Other people who believe that: Assholes, Racists and other scum of the Earth who repeatedly insist they're right and never listen to criticism or try to change.

Salt and derailment

Did you just cal me a asshole, racist, and other scum? Dude, seriously, does that even apply to us? I was thinking more of that people were insulting you because of a background or saying you couldn't do it, but you ignore them, and accomplish your goal. Those guys are just mentally insane, well most of the time.

Salt and derailment

Do, I said OTHER People. I just meant that "Not caring what others believe" isn't always sound advice.

Salt and derailment

No, but it's still something to live by, as long as what your doing doesn't cause long term damage to someone.

Salt and derailment

But I'm argueing it's not something to live by, because it leads to people being immune to change, never listening to criticism and just being unsocial, like all those shitty people who make endless streams of terrible games. Not caring about what other people think isn't a good quality.

Salt and derailment

I bet that quote has helped a lot of good people get where they are, but it's also helped people like Adolf Hitler get where he got. There are positives, and negatives for it, but normal people are opened to change if it approaches them correctly.

Salt and derailment

So therefore, I don't think the quotes good advice anymore than "Die for your beliefs" is good advice, because it's inspired Terrorists as well as heroic martyrs. So, not good advice.

Salt and derailment

Oh hell no that's not good advice, but not to many people follow that, other than the terrorizors. I mean I don't care what people think about me. If they don't like my stories, don't read them, don't like what I say, ignore it, etc. But that doesn't mean you won't be open to change.

Salt and derailment

If you don't care what anyone says about you, you disregard what they say and hence don't learn from criticism. So it's bad advice. I mean, if I hadn't given a shut what people thought when I made my first story, I'd still be making games with shifty plot twists.

Salt and derailment

I'm just saying that you shouldn't take what others think as a priority, you still need to think of yourself, your values, and what you like, if people don't like it, you should always care.

EDIT: Shouldn't (sorry internet is really lagging on me.)

Salt and derailment

Shouldn't always care about what people think is very different to say "Don't care about what people think".

Salt and derailment

This is a weird debate. But, a simple one to answer. People have different core values about what and how they interpret things. So, the "advice" that Random gave me works for me, (I guess) but people are not all the same. They take things using a different interpretation. XD

Edit: Jeez, I just re-read the conversation you both had, I don't have that idea as my primary value. I just don't care about insults. I take all types of criticism very well though.

Salt and derailment

Say you don't care what people think on the web. Saying you don't care what people think in General is one of the most stupidest things I've ever heard someone say, really nothing I know tops that.

What in the name of almighty fuck is up with the dude in your profile pick? Is he under my bed?

Salt and derailment

Digit is always picking those types of avatars. I'm still wondering where he got the sack on head one from. Looked like from a horror movie, but I wasn't sure which one.

This one looks like its from the creepypasta/pic library.

Salt and derailment

It was the The Strangers, really good horror movie. If I were a serial killer that bag face would be my role model.

Salt and derailment

Again, I just do not care about insults.

Your reading comprehension leaves something to be desired.

Hey Buck you mind? Interrupting someone's conversation is rude. Anyway...

It's a public forum. Anyone is free to say anything.

Salt and derailment

Tell that to the mods and admins.

Salt and derailment

Okay sorry. Correction: Anyone is free to say anything as long as it doesn't insult anyone.

@ZagHero :  No!  ^_^

Here's a couple quotes from New Site Guidelines:

If what's being posted is what would be posted in a relatively mature environment, then it's fine. If it's childish or annoying, then it won't be permitted. There's no way to explicitly state what is and isn't allowed, because this isn't about the topic of content so much as tone and amount. If there's a substantial topic and people are behaving like mature people, then it will be left alone.

In this post, I will outline some general tenets but these tenets will be enforced by the spirit of the law and not the exact wording, because this has led to a lot of rule-skirting and general animosity in the past. We're going to delete immature, unsavory, or unsatisfactory posts and we are going to ban users who continuously post content in that vein.

Thanks.

1) This isn't a private forum.
2) I posted that within a minute of Steve's first reply to you, before you ever replied to him.
3) Your reading comprehension is poor.

Alright, I can read if I want to, but right now I am really tired. I was up since 2 a.m. this morning taking care of a fake baby for parenting class, so there's less blood flow to the head, that is making me a piss poor reader.

This makes me happy for a reason.
